I used:
- 5.5" x 4.25" silk weave linen 'Pale Ivory' card, tent style
- snippet of Tonic 'Inca Gold' mirror card to cover the whole front and glued it in place
- trimmed the green embossed panel to just slightly smaller than the gold layer and also glued that in place
- then die cut the main sentiment feature using an unbranded die from Amazon - no name, but I can always send the link by checking my past orders of course. Just ask.
- die cut the sentiment stamp in Tonic mirror ' Inca Gold' and then the letter inserts from a snippet of the same linen 'Pale Ivory' - and the three berries were cut from a teeny snippet of Tonic 'Scarlet Organza' card
- used a glue pen to adhere the sentiment die parts to the embossed dark green layer - worked really well despite a question mark over my head here - and finished!
This card is for February 2025's Rudolph Challenge HERE - almost finished so be quick, it's a short month!
Len stopped by later to have a look and, typical man, said - 'Bit late aren't you?' - meaning late for Christmas not long gone! At least he liked it but just where does he think the 90+ hand made cards appear from each Christmas? No, surely not the Pixies!! 😏
Super card, Di. The NOEL makes a love focal point. Love Len’s comment. That’s the sort of thing Alan would say. 🤣 xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful embossed background and a gorgeous die cut focal sentiment. Love this CAS Rudolph Day card made by a little Pixie! Xxx
ReplyDeleteTell Len it's a bit early - not late 🤣🤣. The die cut certainly looks really great on that embossed background which had merely been used as protection for a card going through the post. Very thoughtful to use something attractive and useful for that purpose.
ReplyDeleteStunning card Di. Chuckled at Lens comment. You're ahead on me, not made and Christmas cards yet, too many birthdays. Love the green embossed piece... really makes it. Shaz in Oz.x ps not sure why but desktop on phone allowed me to comment! Yay!! 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻.
ReplyDeleteVery striking Christmas card with a lovely traditional feel xx

That is really pretty Di, and I love the rich green embossed background and the gold and white 'NOEL' with the leaves and berries is a great die to use over the top, and the coordinating gold covering the card base finishes it beautifully too. My hubby is the same and cannot understand why anyone would want to make cards for the following Christmas this early, but we know it makes sense to make throughout the year. x
ReplyDeleteBeautifully elegant - love the colours you've used.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining me at the Rudolph Days Challenge.
