And here is my 'faux parchment' card for today:
I used:
- 4" x 6" Kraft card blank
- Inkylicious 'Small Bauble 1' stencil and a Brilliance 'Moonlight White' ink pad. Just used a duster brush to fill in the stencil area and then ran a Sakura white Jelly Roll pen around the edge of the stencil before removing it from the card front
- next stamped the Inkylicious 'Small Winter Cabin' onto the bauble using a Brilliance 'Pearlescent Chocolate' ink pad
- added dots in the sky for snow, snow on the cabin, fence and ground plus smoke coming from the cabin chimney
- then added some tickles of glue using a Quickie Glue pen before sprinkling with clear Glamour Dust for some sparkle - which is very pretty IRL but impossible to pick up properly with the camera
- and my snippet is the bow I made from a tiny piece of silver edged organza ribbon I found in the ribbon box - attached to the top of the bauble using narrow red line tape
Of course, this is today's prize, three of the main ingredients you need to make the card above:
It's a Small Bauble 1 stencil and a Small Winter Cabin stamp set from Inkylicious, plus a white Sakura Jelly Roll pen.
At the end of all of the celebrations I'll do a massive draw session for all the prizes using the one Mr Linky - which is on the main snippets post HERE - so you do need to have entered one snippets make over on that post to be in with a chance :) Maximum of one entry please - to keep things fair for those who may not have time to craft.
Just leave a comment on this post if you would like the chance to win today's prize.
OOh Di would love to be in with a chance for this one...I love your card you clever thing! xx
ReplyDeleteYes, I've seen this technique too but can't remember who I saw do it now. Anyway you have made a wonderful job of it Di, the scene within the stencilled bauble is so pretty with the log cabin and the white against the kraft card is a gorgeous look. I would love to be in with a chance of winning these three
ReplyDeleteitems to have a go at this, so I am a 'Yes Please for Prize F". I love the cold cuts, as my Mum used to call them, on Boxing Day and we usually have Hash Browns and pickles with the turkey and ham and a small piece of pork pie too. I always think that turkey tastes much nicer cold than it does hot. x

ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment on my blog, Di.
I had to wait till now with my comment here at yours. As soon as I had written my blog, we went to hospital to encourage some friends of ours who, after a seven hour's journey, due to an accident landed in hospital in our town instead of together with their family. :(
Now we are back home, and I could write some words.
Have a nice, relaxing time, dear Di!
Hugs, Liv

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Di, have done this with my stash items but would be nice to play with the real deal. I'm amused at how many prizes are snowy.... and we're very unsnowy here in Oz. So am selective in choice as really have limited use for them, also means less post for you Di.
ReplyDeletePray your back is ok, amd you had a God blessed Christmas with you Len and Parsnip.
Thanks for sharing, you're very very generous.
