I used:
- A6 off-white hammered card stock
- green papers from the snippets folder
- Penny Black Stickeroo from the 'Joy' sheet
- Craftwork Cards sentiment, layered onto an oval of the green paper
- copper coloured Josy Rose nail heads
Quick and easy, and another one for the card box :)
Needless to say, my in-house critic doesn't think it's masculine enough - we spent ages discussing whether it was a male or female deer :( I might just link anyhow and have another try later in the week - after I mop the blood up from where someone was walloped with my trimmer!!

Men are too funny...
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely card and that stickeroo is gorgeous. I like how it seems in flight with its stride.
Maybe if you do another one in all dark colours (dark and gloomy) he will think it is masculine enough! hahahaha
My DH always says "Do you have any brown plaid?" whenever i am making a golf card for his buddies or a guy birthday card.
I thought only male deer had antlers!! On well, still think would make a great Christmas card for a guy regardless.

I am sure only male deer have antlers, no way would females want them, too heavy to carry around and not even a pretty colour lol. Gorgeous card an perfect for anyone you want to give it to. Hugs, Amanda x
ReplyDeleteIt't perfect Di and yes only male deer had antlers!!

Hi Di
ReplyDeleteI think it is great for a male card!
Clearly your house critic doesn't want to receive one like this in a few weeks though!
Love Jules xx
A brilliant card Di, I love the deer on a tag, a perfect male card.

I thinks it's a great card for a male, love the flying deer, never mind him indoors lol
ReplyDeleteTilly
Well for what it's worth, I think this would definitely be okay for a male Christmas card. You can always ADD some jingle balls to the deer just to be on the safe side! LOL!
ReplyDeletexxx
Too nice for a man me thinks! Something like "Bah Humbug" might be more appropriate.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous and as for Sandra's comment about jingle balls I just do not know what to say!
xx
It's a gorgeous card whatever the gender of the deer. I love the colours. To wade in to the argument, - but I believe that it is the female of the reindeer species that have antlers - in all other species it is the male - so Rudolph should, if we are to be precise, be Rudolphina. I'm totally flabbergasted at Sandra's comment - the mind boggles - where does she suggest you place said jingle balls :)) Hugs, Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteOh Di your so funny wipe the blood from that trimmer ....lol and that Stickeroo has done a fabulous job again totally brilliant hopefully it is male tee hee!! xx
ReplyDeleteI love the deer, I think they are really nice christmas images, and I know how hard it is to do masculine cards! I love the colours too :)
ReplyDeleteWell, Di, if it's a female dear, a guy is sure to love it! I think it qualifies as a masculine card! No bows.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely qualifies, Di - I think it a 'deer' card whatever the gender! - thanks for joining in my CHNC challenge 98 - hope to see you again soon. x
ReplyDeleteOh deer, oh deer, oh deer, where was he killed... in the craftroom, with a trimmer, good new idea for Cluedo.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a fabulous male card, not boy really, antlers are male or maybe Len fancies himself as a Stag!?

My DH just went off to hunt! no deer cards for him
ReplyDeleteWhy do you keep asking him?! I vote that it is best for your transgender friends. How's that? Hey, whoa, watch it with that trimmer!
ReplyDeleteActually, I appreciate this card very much as I have that PB sticker and have never been happy with any card made with it; only worked in the past on a tag for me. So, thanks, Di!
Very classy and elegant. X
ReplyDeleteI LIKE your deer, tell your critic to lay off. I also have this little sticker I think. I know I have a bunch of the old, (years ago I mean) PB, and I never know how to use them to as pretty an effect as you do. This little guy could work for either I should think! Beautiful
