Sunday Snippets - Merry Christmas Angel

Here's my dinky little Snippets card for today, and it's another sticker card - I made a run of twelve, just the angel images differ:

I used:

- 4" x 4" square white card blank, side opening

- I used the vellum method to apply the Temu angel sticker onto a white background, which I then die cut using the circular 'Merry Christmas' sentiment die - I was only after the central portion of course, then set it aside. This was a great snippets buster!

- die cut the outer sentiment part of the card, using the same die (made by MFT and called 'Merry Christmas Circle Frame') and a very pretty Tonic 'Honey Gold' satin effect mirror card snippet, then set it aside

- next I used more of the 'Honey Gold' card to trim a layer for the 'frame' - measuring 3.75" x 3.75" and glued it to the card front

- another white snippet was used to die cut a stitched edge panel measuring 3.5" x 3.5" ,using a square stitched die by Heffy Doodle

- added the Honey Gold 'Merry Christmas' sentiment circle to the white panel using Bearly Art glue and a disposable fine nib from the pack of 100 spares I bought from Amazon. SO lovely to just dispose of the nib at the end of a card making session

- popped the little angel image into the centre of the sentiment

- finally - glued the image panel onto the 'Honey Gold' layer on the card front

- finished!

Unlike many crafters on here, I love making a batch of Christmas cards - not always - just when I find a design I'm happy to repeat several times. It's rather like an assembly line - I sometimes wonder if I was actually destined to work on a factory production line instead of the varied IT route my career took me in!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Rudolph Days October Challenge - HERE

Allsorts Challenge #861 - HERE  -under 'Anything Goes'

Darnell's NBUS Challenge #91 - HERE - the Temu angel stickers are a design I haven't used previously

Remember, I've just kicked off a new challenge over in the Snippets Playground HERE.

Dudley Pupdate: On Tuesday we set off for our flu and Covid booster jabs - with Dudley riding shotgun in the back seat of Len's car of course. It was tipping it down with rain - really wet rain if that makes sense. Len went first whilst I stayed with Dudley and he sang to me - loudly! Then it was my turn. And the heavens had opened by then - at my speed of walking I was drenched by the time I even reached the pharmacy, thank goodness for a decent waterproof coat.

Had the jabs, quickest and easiest part of the whole event - then toddled back to the car feeling like a drowned rat. I managed to get partway into the passenger seat - sort of sideways with my legs waving in the air due to said waterproof coat not co-operating - and I was greeted as if I'd returned from a year away at sea - by Dudley who also realised I was at his mercy. πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹ There I was floundering trying to sit up and Dudley had enough length on his restraint to reach me between the seat backs and therefore give me a thorough kiss and  face, neck and ear wash - whilst my legs waved like a stranded beetle and I squealed, through laughter I admit, 'Gerroff me, you little monkey!!'. What an opportunist he is. πŸ˜†

Love as always, Dudley and yours truly,

  1. Super card, lovely image. I prefer mini batches (usually 2) rather than a production line but batches have certainly helped me catch up this year.
Hope you had no repercussions following the flu shots
    Happy Snippet Day

  8. This is so very sweet. I'm not one for batch making - probably because I'm not a consistent crafter lol! Thanks for sharing with us at Allsorts. You retold the Dudley tale so well, had me chuckling away.

  11. Beautiful angel card, I usually batch one main design and then to others also. This year I'm using some NBUS stamps that have not seen ink and having fun making all different one. Also thanks for sharing with us at Allsorts challenge!

  12. Hi Di
Well done on your batch of twelve cards .. .. .. I quite like batches given the chance .. .. .. but recently I feel lucky if I have managed one! LOL!!
That little angel is super cute and makes for a beautiful card.
You made me smile telling Dudley to Gerroff. That is sometimes what Mum says to me as I leave her, telling her I love her and kissing her forehead.
    Love and hugs
