Pixie's Snippets Playground - Challenge #417 - Ruby's Memory

Our wee Ruby 2005-2020

Hello again - thanks for calling by! It's time for another snippets challenge dedicated to sweet Ruby's Memory, in aid of the centre who originally rescued her, and this is our eighth one.

The prizes for this challenge have kindly been donated by two different Playmates! So there are two chances to win a prize as we'll be celebrating having donated £200 to the rescue centre once this challenge closes. Also the Playground toy box is overflowing with prizes here right now and I can't get the lid on properly! That should be a hint that we'll have a Grand Christmas/New Year Draw again this year ☺

From Linby we have Prize A:

Creative Expressions 'For you' edger die, Apple Blossom 'Flourish Clover' die and a set of Crafters Companion stamps called 'Craft Words'

And from a playmate who wishes to remain anonymous we have Prize B:

Tattered Lace Border Collection 'Floral' set embossing folders, Tattered Lace 'Blossoms' set of dies, Joanna Sheen Signature dies 'Holly Swag', Clear Stamp Boutique 'Just for You Vase and Flowers' set of stamps and a Hobby Art really sweet little Christmas Bear stamp.

What generous donations from two lovely people. Thank you both so much!

I'm afraid that I won't split or mix around the bundles. It might be that you already have something that's included in a bundle but please don't let that put you off playing. I'm sure that the donors will be just the same as me when I say feel free to pass anything onto a crafting friend - at your end.

Remember to always say if you're playing for the prize on offer - and this time please also say 'Prize A', 'Prize B' or 'Either'.

As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday 11th December. The gates will open again at midnight UK time on the same day - and the Grand Christmas Draw will begin!

It's a maximum of ONE entry, please say in a comment if you wish to play and be a possible winner of the prize. Please also link back to the Playground in your blog post to be eligible for the draw.

Remember, if you link into the Playground and don't say clearly that you want to be in the draw in a comment on here, then you will be bypassed if your name comes out of Mr Linky. I'm sure you all know I ask for a positive 'yes' on the blog post itself - just in case you're only playing for fun - otherwise I don't add you to my little list. And I won't be splitting the prize of course.

Please also remember that I only allow a total of nine other challenges, which makes 10 in total, when you enter a snippets make into the Playground.

Dudley gave us a good few 'moments' this past week. On Thursday, he took a real dislike to the British Gas engineer who came to do the annual boiler service. In the end we had to 'gate' him in the craft room with me. To be honest, the guy was rather weird and never even asked if he could go upstairs to check the radiators - he just did it ... which set Dudley off again in protest! Only once the guy had gone did we realise what the issue had been. He was working in the garage where our boiler is housed and Dudley's store of food, treats and a little army of as yet unused toys are also housed in there! Once freed, he shot down into the garage to do a full inspection and audit!

Lots of love from Dudley Dog and of course me,

Yay for the money to the rescue centre, it's a wonderful notice!!
Thanks to Linby and the other playmate for the generous prizes, and also to you, they are fabulous items for any stash!!! Yes please for either!
You made me laugh with Dudley's story about the boiler service guy and Dudley's treasure room/the garage. Perhaps Dudley had the idea that the guy had tasted his treats or picked up one of his toys :D
Hugs to you and cuddles to him

  4. I’d love to enter the draw for either please Di. That did make me smile……..the way he dashed down to inspect his stash! You tell such a great story, and I love to read them. Keep warm! Xxx

  6. Two lovely bundles of prizes, but I'm playing just for fun thanks.

Dudley is so funny! He's such a character isn't he?! I bet he could tell if just ONE of his delicious dog biscuits had gone missing!

It's brass monkey weather, so I'm brewing plenty of hot chocolate up in the Playground Treehouse - all Playmates are welcome to come and have a mugful. Plenty of marshmallow sprinkles to go round!

    Hugs, Sarn xxx

  13. Yes, ma'am. Prize B please. Poor Dudley. It's a good thing the audit was completed and everything was in check. Your gas person kinda took it for granted to walk upstairs without telling anyone. That could have resulted in disaster.

  14. I'm just playing for fun 😉.
So pleased you are able to raise funds for the charity. Another lovely Dudley story.

  19. How exciting to hear how much you've donated to the rescue center...my heart is smiling! I love that you have combined two of my favorite things, crafting and animals with the snippets challenge.
Yes please to either one of these generous prizes!
Your story about Dudley has me laughing and saying, "awwwww" at the same time. I think Dudley needed to teach that boiler man some manners..and the mental picture of him rushing out to make sure all of his treasures were still there is too darn cute!

  26. I just love hearing about Dudley's antics! Such a protective little guy....he has to make sure everything is A-OK and in it's right place. My little Havanese decided that I needed protection from a skateboard leaning against a building once. Such mighty little personalities! I'd love to be in the draw for either of the wonderful prizes, thank you :)

  34. Wow, fabulously generous prizes, thank you all and I will say yes to either! Had a good laugh at Dudley's watchful manner, sounds like my Mack, for some reason he hates the UPS man and lets him know it! One time I was driving along and Mack was sitting in the back seat, oh so grand, and a UPS truck pulled up to a stop sign and Mack jumped up, hung his head out the window and started barking and growling at him lol!! Have a wonderful holiday seasons and I wish the best for next year, health and happiness!!

  37. Those are some fantastic prizes on offer, but I'm playing just for fun this time. Dogs have a keen sense and intuition when it comes to strangers, but I do think it's funny how he checked his inventory afterward to ensure it was all there! Protective instincts are always at work with a good doggie :) Have a great week ahead!

  38. It's always fun to hear the latest news about Dudley! It brings a smile. I love joining in your challenges and would love to be considered for Prize B if I were to be lucky. Stay safe and here's to a lovely Christmas and here's hoping 2022 is a good one for all. :) x

  39. Wow, fab prizes from lovely Libby and the anon playmate too!
I'm glad to hear Dudley is on full guardsman duties ... He's quite right that the gasman should have asked permission first and that he didn't pocket any of Dudley's treats LoL

  40. Yes to either prize, and thank you to your generous playmates! I'm in a flurry of holiday preparations, and lagging behind, but loved hearing about Dudley's latest adventures with the gas engineer! Our Toby seems to be the opposite of a watch dog in his old age. He used to bark protectively at anyone who walked or drove by our house, but now he seems to think that everyone is a welcome visitor. We have to watch him and make sure he doesn't run out of the front door, given the chance, every time the gardeners are here or a package is delivered.
I do hope that Dudley was satisfied that nothing had been moved or touched, once he did his audit, haha!

  41. Hello and thank you for running the challenge, you are a star! And a fantastic donation total too! Have you tried sitting on the toy box lid? What great and generous prizes. Yes please to prize B, I do like the look of those dies. Hope all is well in the craft room. It's time we posted off all those Christmas cards and started all over again. lol. xxx

I'm not playing for prizes this time but loving seeing how many people have joined in at such a busy time of the year :) I enjoyed the story about Dudley and the Gas Engineer who, say what you like, could definitely have walked away with all the treats and toys!! Hugs, Vicky xx
