From Me to You

Last week I decided to make some more little gift cards to enclose with Playground prizes:
I used:

- 4" x 3" side opening white card blanks, which are cut straight BTW, it's the photographer at fault!

- SU's 'Pedal Presents' stamp set, stamped using Memento 'Tuxedo Black' ink and coloured with Whispers markers

- added 'Glossy Accents' to the balloons - which promptly made the Whispers ink bleed a bit, sigh :(

- the sentiment is from the Personal Impressions set by Lindsay Mason called 'Everyday Words Happy Birthday'

Two of the bicycles have red frames and the other two have turquoise - but all the other colouring (and the bleeding of the Whispers inks on the balloons!) is the same on each card.

Eve is doing a fabulous job in the Playground right now - thank you so, so much Eve and also thank you Playmates for your kind words and the lovely welcome to Eve.

Me? I've started to make myself a macramé hammock so I can just loll about in the shade, idly watching from the sidelines scoffing Ferrero Rocher choklits - as if!! :)

  3. Cute card Di and I love the idea of a dicky bird riding a bike!! Macrame, now there's a word I haven't heard since 1986 when I macramed all manner of contraptions to suspend spiderplants and other unsuspecting greenery...now where's that book!!? xx

  4. Hope you are having a lovely break! Such a sweet card, I love that bicycle stamp. I have a friend whose great ambition is to own a bike with a basket on the front, so all the cards I make for her have images of them on. Really enjoying Eve's comments, even though I'm missing yours

  6. Sweet card. Balloons, birdies and basket full of flowers. LOVELY!

Happy lazy days in the macrame hammock eating chocklit. While you're away I've got a chocklit smuggling ring going on behind the bike shed, trouble is, a SNITCH told Eve who has been prowling around ever since. My operation is being seriously hampered!

    Hugs, Sarn xxx

Thank you to everyone who is being so kind to me with lovely comments - mwah!!
It's a good job that I had a tip off about Sarn - you would never believe the shenanigans that were going on behind the bike sheds!! But it is nothing that I can't handle so please enjoy your rest and fear not!!
    Big hugs
    Eve xx

  15. I am glad you are having a little rest, (of sorts!). It is a big tie to have deadlines to met all the time. How nice of Eve to offer to help out. I love your little bicycle cards. I have had the same problem with bleeding ink! Don´t eat too many chocies! Hugs Kate x

  16. Lol, lol, yea I can just see you in a hammock, please tell me how you get in one, G&T in one hand and Len doing waiter service with the choc's and other goodies.

Love this card, pity is wasn't hearts flying from the back of the bike as everyone knows about 'bleeding hearts'

So looks like I need to go to Specsavers as I can't see any bleeding at all.But on my sample card ( ruined first attempt) I put glossy accents on the stamped flowers but they looked just too gaudy, I love glossy accents but like all things they have their place.
