- 6" x 6" square white card stock with the front totally covered in Kan Ban's 'Merry Christmas' green backing card and I worked it out so that at least 'Merry Christmas' and a single 'Ho' shows at the top above the image :)

- image backed with gold linen card. A little tip when layering onto card - I cut the backing mat slightly larger than needed and then stick the top layer on making sure that (say) the top and the left hand edge are the same distance from the edge of the backing card. Then just trim the excess from the bottom and the right hand edge to match. It might seem really obvious, but it took me ages to realise it was better than attempting to totally line up four sides straight off
- a snippet of narrow gold ribbon tied in a bow at the top of the tent fold

Great card Di and thanks for the tip...I will share this with the grandkids...It is so hard for them to center their work as I don't think Mr P understands what I mean yet. Miss C understands it but can take several trys to get it right.
ReplyDeleteI had taught them stick a wee corner and pivot, lift and try again when not quite right... but I will change this to your method...think it is so logical!

I chopped up my Christmas cards yesterday and there were so many lovely bits and bobs which I saved for another time BUT one or two of my cards were so special I couldn't cut them up and just popped them in my Christmas box so that I can appreciate them all over again when I open my box next time!! x Jo
