And this is the sketch:
I used:
- 4.75" x 4.75" square white card
- stamp by Rubber Stampede called 'Skinny Tree', coloured with Pro Markers and chopped into three equal sized squares
- red card from the snippets folder
I'd also like to add this into Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge for this week - which is 'No patterned paper'.
My 'in-house critic' spotted this card and remarked that it needs something in the top right hand corner........whatever happened to his perception of LIM then?!
Hope you all had a good weekend, staying warm and cosy if you're here in the UK - and keep safe if you're likely to be affected in any way by Hurricane Sandy in the USA.

Love it...that image is great! Did you reverse punch the 3 windows? It looks so good.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I love this! This is so cool!
ReplyDeleteLooks just fab Di!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much

Another lovely card Di. My weekend has been spent helping out in the house of poorly....we think it's been this horrible Noro virus...Shell had it first then it passed to the twins and Brent was really poorly all day yesterday with it. :-( Poor Shell just didn't have enough hands to manage all the cuddling needed...and all the washing, changing beds and cleaning up etc etc!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Di, love the skinny tree and the sentiment is perfect too, I love it when all the elements come together and the card seems to sing. Hugs, Amanda x
ReplyDeleteThis is GREAT and just PERFECT for the LIM challenge.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with your "in-house critic" because it has perfect placement.
Happy Monday
Hugs

I think its perfect as it is and a really cute card! x
ReplyDeleteGreat LIM card Di, you've cracked it :)
ReplyDeleteHow's your house smelling? Pickerly lol?
Have a great Monday xx
Lovely card there Di but that tree is a little skinny for me and my decorations! Our trees used to have training sessions so they could keep perky!
ReplyDeleteAt least your in house critic is taking an interest and you didn't get the usual "humpf"!!
Has your house stopped glowing yet with all the picalili and ponion works that have been occuring?
Hugs
xx
Your card is perfect for the sketch (take no notice of the comment about the top corner - lol!) - thanks for joining in my CHNC challenge 96 - hope to see you again soon. x
ReplyDeleteI love the way you have interpreted that sketch, really stylish and cheerful. Thanks for popping over today and leaving such a nice comment. I am hoping to join in with the playground this week, just four more cards to do to finish the year, and then I can play, and use up the bits I have collected recently. Have a good week. xx Maggie
ReplyDeleteWow Di, I can see that while the cats away the mice will play and you have made some stunning cards. They are all so different but all brilliant, fab images and great papers on all of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the words of the song, goodness knows what I was singing as some of the words didn't seem familiar, I suppose we concentrated more on the Floozy named Flo which was sung very loud and clearly much to my Mum's disgust, she hated her name.
Thanks again.

Love the tree stamp Di, such a fun image
ReplyDeleteOoh Di, a truly scrumptious skinny christmas tree, and a fantastic way of using the image. I am afraid that I have to disagree with the 'in-house critic' (lol) - I think it is fine just the way it is! Lynn A x
ReplyDeleteI like how you chopped that tree up and stretched it out. I like long skinny Christmas trees! (on cards!!!) We never do a Christmas tree. However, we have new kittens so maybe it would be worth the entertainment value to have one this year. Nothing real though. I'm soooo allergic to pine!
ReplyDeleteI love your long slim stylin' Christmas tree, Di! Just the whimsy I adore!!
ReplyDeleteThis is fab Di. Love the Christmas tree, and how perfect is it for this challenge. xx
ReplyDeleteLove your skinny tree Di. Fab card.
