Made in double quick time

On Thursday I worked through quite a few household chores and then late afternoon sat down to have a little play in the craft room. For some reason, my hand strayed to the 'birthday book' and yikes - it was Len's great-nephew's Birthday the following day! Talk about a flurry of activity - a card made in double quick time so I could race out and post it:
I used:

- 6" x 6" square Kraft card stock

- LOTV 'Cute Square', layered onto a snippet of red paper with all corners rounded

- 'denim' backing card by Joanna Sheen, from the 'Haberdashery' pack, which also included the pocket, sentiment and 'buttons'

- the number 7 from a little batch of die cuts sent to me a while back by Sarn - these are lifesavers!

Then I jumped into my little car and managed to catch the last post in time - close call though!

    ah .. funny how they creep up on you too fast!! but wow love this double quick time card Di, the denim look is super cute esp the wee pocket!! clever! Shaz in oz.x PS have monkey card for great nephews third birthday on my blog :D

    This is adorable Di! I can't tell you how many times I just squeaked in to get something mailed. I've been known to chase the mailman too! :-)))

    How cute is this, Di! LOVE that imgage and the BG paper is perfect.
    I always make cards early then totaly forget to mail them unti they are over due.

    Fabulous card, love that denim paper, thought it was a real pair of jeans first. Those LOTV squares are a real lifesaver aren't they and no-one needs to know we didn't colour them lol. Hugs, Amanda X

    That was a close call Di, good job your instincts told you to open your birthday book!

    Love the denim look, the faux leather sentiment looks very real and the image is perfect for a little lad.

    LOVE this . . . perfect for a 7 year old.

    I have about 70 million great nephews n nieces and everything in between thanks to his Lordship's huge family. I don't even know half their names and addresses . . . so luckily I don't have to make them all cards! Phew!

    I wish I could work as quickly as you and make such a brilliant card. I made a Twinchie this morning and, as I put on my blog, it took me an hour to sort out which stamp I was going to use!!! Thank goodness you looked at your birthday book!

    Fabulous boy card and love the backing and the pocket.
    I was just the same with my BIL, his Birthday was Sunday and I was in a panic Saturday night but luckily enough could deliver, not post. Forgot to take a photo though and even managed to write him a verse.
