I used:
- 6" x 6" square white card stock
- backing paper from a pack by My Mind's Eye - free with Cardmaking and Papercraft
- toning pale plain green pearlescent card plus some red card from the snippets folder
- trimmed down Christmas card - you can't see but it's beautifully embossed, both the main image plus additional leaves on the white background - not done by me I hasten to add!!
- red pearl stones from stash
- Craftwork Cards Christmas sentiment
I'm entering this into Hazel's current challenge over at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge which is 'Seeing red'. It can be a little or a lot of red - so I just might return with a card featuring a shed load of red. :)

ReplyDeleteI am still recovering from the tale of the pogo stick incident Di. I'm not into pogo sticks on account of the two black eyes it gives me but do you have stilts in the playground cos I just might drop in for a play if you do :-)

Oh Annie, I played for many happy hours on stilts in the playground in Singapore. It was too hot for pogo sticks - am not even sure they'd been invented back then :))

Snow! Up here we are basking in sunshine and blue, blue sky today - yesterday wasn't too shabby either so astounded to hear you had snow. We do, however, have a resident robin and his consort in the garden ... and very cheeky chirpy they are too. Love your card ... you would have thought the paper had been designed especially to coordinate with your recycled topper it is such a good match. The pearly red berries are fab. Clearly I was a deprived child because I don't remember playing with either pogo sticks or stilts - what have I missed?!?! :) Elizabeth x

I didn't so muh as run home more like dripped home!! Thanks for The Range info. Were about 25 mins away from there. The butterfly die is a Spellbinders shapeabilities and has 3 in the packet.You can Cut ,emboss and stencil with them. No. is S3 -146. Works ok in my Big shot.
ReplyDeleteAnyways onto your card. Love the backing paper and as already said matches the robin card perfectly. Youv'e done a grand job with it. Iv'e got as far as cutting the bits off my last yrs cards that I want to reuse but thats as far as Iv'e got.

ReplyDeleteOMGosh you said the S word. None here and the temps are warming so there maybe hope spring is on it's way. I am so looking forward to the robbin's visiting my yard. Love the way they tilt their little heads to listen for the worms. I find it amazing that they can hear them. Needless to say I LOVE your card.

Beautiful and I also use trimmed down cards to make some lovely card toppers. I think the small amount of red works really well!
