Overdressed Duck

Ha, Christmas ain't going to catch me out in 2012! This is my first entry for Hazel's Weekly Christmas Card Challenge, then with Rudolph Day each 25th of the month I should have....quick count on fingers and toes.......over 60 cards in time for next Christmas. Ooops, was that a little pink pig I just saw flying by? But, at least I'm going to try!!
I used:

- 6" x 6" square white card stock

- Penny Black 'Overdressed Duck' stamp - brought by Santa after I'd been drooling over it on another blog - coloured with Pro Markers

- backing papers from Bo Bunny's 'Father Christmas' collection

- dark green card from snippets

- sentiment by Craftwork Cards

- gossamer white and gold ribbon from The Ribbon Shop. I've posted about them before when I ordered a load of wedding stationery ribbon - and a couple of metres of this gossamer white and gold ribbon also fell into my online basket :)

I'm entering this for Hazels 'Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge 53' - and Hazel is also offering some lovely candy so do hop over there to see what's going on!

  1. Oh Di. You are sooooo organised. I am just so glad to have put away all my Christmas stash for this year .....but I think that is more about hospitals than the actual festivities :-)

  2. I just wonder who Santa was when you were drooling, was it your fingers clicking on that mouse button? Love the card,
and the After Eights were purely medicinal!!! I get really bad indigestion at Christmas, and no one else likes them!!!

  11. Well done you! not sure I can handle any more Christmas makes myself just yet. Gorgeous ribbon - I sometimes wish you hadn't posted about The Ribbon Shop. I have little gold boxes with beautifully labelled ribbons that I look at and then have to order ribbon to actually use from somewhere else!! Am I mad??? Carry on the good work Di. xx

  12. A fabulous card! I was going to try and do one every week last year, and then forgot until September! Sixty cards would be a brilliant achievement. Go for it, Di!

  14. Hi Di. I don't think I have bumped into you on Hazel's Christmas challenge blog before. I did it most weeks last year. I haven't come across Rudolf day but maybe I'll catch up with you there too. Anyway, I love your little duck. He (she?) looks very proud of her garlands!
