Sunday Snippets - Spread the Love tag

I finally made a tag to join in with this month's Tag Along (and ATC's) Challenge - go me! It also doubles up as my Sunday Snippets card for this week:

used:

- a snippet of plain white card. from which I die cut a complete tag, using a MFT 'Treat Tag' die

 - trimmed a preprinted, unbranded 'Fairy Wishes' paper and foiled card pad image down slightly, using the same tag die - just managed to cut off the foiled sides and bottom portion

- die cut the top portion of the tag using a smaller die from the same set plus a snippet of white card

- did the same with a small piece of pale blue patterned paper from the 'Fairy Wishes' pad and glued it onto top portion of the whole white card labeI which I'd die cut at the first step

- at that point I could measure and trim off the partial top portion of the die cut image so that it filled the lower part of the tag perfectly - then glued it in place

- used a couple of lilac ribbon snippets, secured with a very narrow black ribbon snippet through the top of the tag

- added a Clarity pre-printed and cut sentiment to the tag

- then just popped a few SU gems in the bottom right hand corner to finish off

It's literally years since I dug around in my compartmented box of rolled ribbons - and even back then I kept ever single scrap/snippet of leftover ribbon! Now I know why!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Tag Along (and ATC's) Challenge - under 'Anything Goes'. I'll try to get back with a pink entry, Pinky Promise! ☺

- Darnell's NBUS Challenge #86 HERE - the tag die set was  having a first outing. It also has a scalloped edge top part but I decided to walk, before trying to run! Run? These days it's a battle to even walk far without some form of aid!

Remember, I've just kicked off a new challenge over in the Snippets Playground HERE.

Dudley Pupdate: Oh boy, is Dudley a little homebird! Yesterday, whilst out for a walk with Len, he tried every single shortcut known to man, and canny pooches, to cut back home! He's a reluctant walkies pooch for sure.

Even taking him on a route with less shortcuts doesn't fool him - he stops and digs his heels in as if to say 'I know best - this route is quicker!'. Some of them are convoluted BUT, they do lead home quicker - gotta give him that!

Love as always, Dudley and yours truly,

  2. So nice to see you at Tag-Along (and ATC's) challenge Di and I think there's a pinkly hue above the Fairies wand, but of course will be lovely to see you again, many thanks for joining us.

May have to miss next Snippets, have a 'date' for Tuesday.

  3. ...and what a pretty tag this is, looking forward to seeing one in pink as well. Has no-one told Dudley that dogs get excited about going for walkies?? He obviously prefers to be at home with his family, bless him. Knows where he's well off I guess 😉

  4. Whopee! So happy to see you at Tag-along (and ATCs) with this beautiful tag, thanks so much for taking part. I love how you did the ribbons and how nice to have a slot instead of a round opening which can be harder to get ribbons through. Dudley obviously wants to get home to you quickly!

  6. Love this sweet fairy tag Di.

You’d think Dudley would love to go out for a walk wouldn’t you - but they don’t get named “Velcro dogs” for nothing!!!! Xxx

  8. This is such a pretty tag Di and the paper with that cute silhouette fairy looks lovely and the soft blue piece at the top and the great choice of ribbons and pre-printed sentiment finish the whole thing perfectly. Dudley doesn't need a sat nav or an A to Z to get home the quickest way, clever doggy! x
