Well, at long last we seem to be really moving into Summer! About time too as well.
First of all, the picks:
I picked Vicky's card firstly as I love the design, colours and freshness. The snippets element totally sealed it though - I adore those lovely flowers! Vicky used a heart shaped punch and snippets of designer paper and see how perfectly the flowers are aligned with the polka dot pattern. Perfection - and such a lovely way to create flowers.
Here's another card using snippets very imaginatively - made by Shannon (SHartl). It's a sunburst card and always such fun to make, there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube if you fancy having a go! I particularly love how Shannon has used black as a contrast to the lovely pinks and greens - and the vertical sentiment is just perfect! That's my picks from Challenge # 403. We had 39 entries and no new Playmates. Number of entries in the current challenge are disappointingly low so far - just 18. Still one week left to play along though - and Susan has donated not only her time but also a really great prize. Where are you all hiding?
Time for the draw now - no hanging around this week! The prize is a set of Sweet Dixie 'DIY Tools' dies, and the winner is:
Congratulations
Vicky! After your generous prize for the 'Ruby's Memory' draw recently I was so pleased to see your name pop out. Along with being a pick as well, buy a lottery ticket as these things often come in threes ☺
Please send me your address, with your full name at the top as well so it can be can be copied and pasted for speed and ease. It's also confirmation that you still would like the prize of course. Please put Playground Winner or similar in the subject line of your email in case it drops into my junk mail. Email address is on RH sidebar as always.
Remember folks,
there's still almost one more week to run on the current Challenge #404
HERE.
The prize is a really lovely Hero Arts 'Knitting' stamp set and matching Hero Arts 'Knitting Frame Cuts' - kindly donated by Susan B our Guest Designer.Perfect for knitters as well as cat lovers.

Such inspiring picks, all very beautiful and interesting! Well done to the winner!
ReplyDeleteDudley surely has appreciated very much tasting your pork in sauce! LOL :D
Lots of cuddles to him and hugs to you
Congratulations to the winners and to Vicky especially for the double win:-) TFS the blog winners, Pixie...Hugs...Nancy
ReplyDeleteGreat picks as always and congratulations to Vicky who I'm sure will enjoy using the prize. Reckon it is good that Dudley is white so that he is easy to spot when lying at the top of the stairs - don't think he would really be plotting to trip anyone up but you can't be too careful 😀
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winners, what fabulous cards...
ReplyDeleteYour Dudley sounds a real character Di - my cat was giving me some cupboard love this afternoon as I slow cooking some beef....
Stay safe
Blessings
Maxine
Fabulous picks Di. The citrus colours on Vicky's card really are eyecatching and such a brilliant idea using hearts for petals...must remember that!! xx
ReplyDeleteStunning cards, Congratulations Ladies, especially to Vicky who always has gorgeous work. I think I would be like Dudley with my mouth hanging open dribbling for some pulled pork too!
ReplyDeleteFaith x
Great picks and congrats to Vicky! Love you Dudley!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards -- terrific picks, Di! These are truly special
ReplyDeleteGreat picks, as always! Congrats to Vicky on the win! Always enjoy hearing about Dudley! Wishing you a great week, Di!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit late to the party but oh my goodness what a lovely surprise to see that not only was my card a 'pick' but that I was also lucky enough to be the prize winner! You're right Di, I should definitely run out and get a lottery ticket!! Thank you so much - and to those leaving lovely messages here too. Congrats too to Shannon and Jane with your showcases - both of which are pretty in pink and green, one of my favourite colour combinations! Vicky xx
ReplyDeleteThanks for including me in the lovely picks this time - and I'm one of the reasons entries for the current challenge are low so far. I'll TRY to be in time, but if I have to spend yet another day hanging on the phone waiting for explanations of why workmen haven't turned up and trying to arrange replacement appointments, I'll be too far behind to catch up!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful selection of cards Di and congratulations Vicki enjoy your win ....yes let’s hope summer is here although today isn’t too bright still it’s dry think we have had enough of the ☔️ take care enjoy your week xx
ReplyDeleteGreat picks. Congrats, Vicky! xoxo
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Vicky and fantastic picks too and the temperatures have increased and we have some intermittent sun today. Dudley is a little imp and knows precisely how to get what he wants..lol. I'm glad you enjoyed your barbecue pulled pork..slow cookers are so useful. x
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winner and top picks and thank you so much for featuring my card as a pick. I'm always trying to figure out different ways to use those piles of snippets, but if I could only train my kids to glue all those pieces down!
ReplyDeleteSounds like Dudley knows how to relax...and to tug at your heart!!
