Warning - this is a really horrendously looooooooooong post as it sets out how the draw will work, in a lot of detail and also repetitively in places to be sure to get the points home!
- 5.5" x 4.25" white card blank
- glued the wreath image panel to the gold mirri background, then onto the card front
So, here we have Prize A of the Christmas/New Year annual giveaway -
On offer for the duration of the challenge is the Uniko stamp set called 'Rustic Wreath' - and I have three of these sets of stamps as prizes.
As in recent years, this is what's going to be going on with the Snippets
Playground over the Christmas and New
Year (aka Holidays) festivities.
For the Grand Draw this year, the Playground Mr Linky which is below will run for three weeks
and closing time will be 11am on Saturday 9th January 2021 and this post you are looking at right now is also where to add any entries
- with a maximum of just one entry - over the three week period.
One entry into Mr Linky means you're in the draw - and the more prizes you say you'd like to win in the comments in each 'additional prize' post does increase your winning chances. You have three weeks to play as no doubt the Christmas and New Year festivities may well be busy for you - although with the COVID-19 restrictions I suspect that many of you will find some quiet time to craft and it's a chance for you to play along for some rather nice prizes too. You can only win one prize during the draw to give others a fair chance. It also means I can clear the Playground toy box out of Christmas themed prizes.
At the same time as the chance to enter your snippets make into Mr Linky closes, I plan to also close all commenting on all prizes on offer - so be on your toes.
So that I don't swamp and confuse you with a load of prizes to choose
from in this post, I'll be posting at intervals over the coming three weeks and adding more prizes of varying sizes into the pot as we
progress through the holiday. There's a fair few although it remains to be seen if I get enough time to schedule the ones running up to Christmas itself - so they may or may not be evenly spread out.
If you see a prize you'd like to be in the 'pot' for then please leave a 'Yes please' (or similar) comment in the same post where I show you the prize.
AND, don't be shy about wanting each prize as it appears - that way
you'll have more chances of winning something. So for today's prize,
leave a comment below. For me, that's going to be a lot less confusing
than me having lots of
little lists here and there - especially as there are so many prizes
coming up! It will mean that if you would like to be in with a chance
of every prize, then you need to comment on each one as it comes up -
and please don't leave it right until the end and nip through all the
prize posts adding 'Yes please' to each in one fell swoop. Remember,
they will show up serially on my dashboard as well as in the comments where I go to do moderation. If you do that I
will
notice and wouldn't feel that it's in the true spirit of the Playground so you do risk not being in the draw at all.
So, if you want to play then do try to pop in over the festivities to
see what's on offer :) Of course I'm well aware that people have family
commitments and can't necessarily comment every day so I will be as
reasonable as possible. I just don't want anyone swooping in at the last
minute and saying yes to each prize in one visit.
Also, just saying here on this post 'count me in for all prizes that are
offered' also doesn't count I'm afraid and will mean you don't go into the
draw at all - other people are taking the time and trouble to check out
the individual posts and prizes and leave comments so it wouldn't be
fair to them. Again, this worked fine last year.
As I already said, there will only be the one Mr Linky for all entries - which is at the end of this post of course.
I'll remind you where to go to link each time I post a new prize on the
blog if you haven't already added your one card. Also, I'll use this Mr Linky as a basis for
who entered a snippets make and goes into the draw.
I hope I've explained how the coming three weeks will work in the
Playground? Please just say if it's left you confused and I hope it
doesn't seem too draconian. My main priority is for everyone to play
fair and hopefully be in with a chance of winning something they would
like.
The Christmas and New Year Snippets Challenge will run for three weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday 9th January 2020.
There will be a new Mr Linky on
Sunday 10th January 2020. The picks and also the results of the
multiple raffle/prize draw will appear one week later on Sunday 17th
January - with the proviso that I find the time to do it, otherwise I just might have to move the results slightly or even leave out the picks
for once.
Maximum of one entry and remember, there's the prize today and others will appear over the next two weeks so keep your eyes peeled.
Please
let me know if you have any problems linking, it's always fairly easy for me to sort out so don't struggle on alone.
Sorry this is so wordy and I've repeated a few points but I didn't want to leave any issue not covered - even more than once! Do please ask if anything isn't clear.
One final point, I'm struggling to keep on top of things here and so far haven't really managed to comment on entries for Challenge 392 which closed yesterday. Don't worry though, I will grab half an hour here or there to visit you all and select some picks and also the winner of the Spellbinders 'Chevron Border' die. There were only 37 entries, so it shouldn't take me too long - looks like I'm not the only person who is busy ☺
On the home news front, poor Dudley has had loads of dips in the utility room sink after his walks. He isn't too keen needless to say but needs must as the weather here is so wet and he comes home looking like a real mucky pup! Some days he literally pokes his nose out of the door and almost sprints to relieve himself before charging straight back indoors. I don't blame him either!
Of course, he's fascinated by all the activity here with decorations being dotted around the house and what seems like a never-ending stream of post arriving. So far he hasn't shown any interest in the Christmas tree - phew!
Merry Christmas from Parsnip, Dudley and yours truly, hope you have a peaceful time and stay safe.
What a beautiful card! And it does look perfect for making multiples of. I would definitely like to be in the run for this prize, thanks! I'm always looking for a great wreath set.
ReplyDeleteHappy 9th Anniversary, Di! You are an amazing blog friend keeping the Playground going for all of us! I adore your card & am pinning it for inspiration using that wonderful Uniko set I'm lucky to already have in my stash. I take it you fussy cut the little red berry branches--never thought of that! So glad Dudley doesn't bother the tree. That's one thing not a problem with Fritz, either. Wishing you 3 a healthy, peaceful holiday. Hugs, Greta
ReplyDeleteYes, Please.
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so looking forward to this end of the year extravaganza. It's always such fun. Thank you for your generosity. Now, if I can remember to enter a card. [Bunny]
What a lovely stamp set, Di. I do love a beautiful wreath at Christmas. This is beautiful. Your card is so elegant with the touch of gold. Really pretty.
ReplyDeleteYes, please put my name in the hat for this set. Thank you for your generosity. I feel like I am finally getting my head above water for the first time since about September. Hope to get some crafty time soon!!
Have a wonderful Christmas!!

Oh, I have to admit that I find myself wondering how, exactly, Dudley will be picking names out of a dish for the draw. Will he have a bit of sticky adhesive adhered to his paw so the paper strip stays put? Or would that cause several strips to attach, with even more confusion?!! I hope he doesn't get too stressed with the extra responsibility...and I do think he deserves an extra treat or two with the promotion, don't you?
ReplyDeleteYour card is such a pretty one, and that little gold die cut bow is the perfect touch! Yes please to this prize.
I was practically hammering on the gates of the playground waiting to be one of the first guests at the party. After all, virtual parties are where it's at this year.
ReplyDeleteYes please to the draw, it's a lovely set and your card is super. I think the wreath would work with a lot of other stamps and embellishments too, so would get a lot of use.
A beautiful CAS card, Di. Thank you for running the Grand Draw again this year, the instructions seems pretty clear to me. I’ll be a Yes Please for Prize A.
ReplyDeleteI had to smile at the vision of Dudley doing a quick sprint outside when he needs to relieve himself! Can’t say I blame him with the cold, wet weather we’ve been having lately.
Have a good Christmas and wishing you, Len and Dudley a Happy and Healthy 2021. xx
Sounds good to me! It’s a yes please, and I can’t wait to play. I’ve enjoyed wreaths this year, first time ever, and this set is lovely. I think you’re so clever sorting all this out, and a huge thank you for doing so. The Playground is such a nice welcoming and safe place to be. I just hope someone bakes some more sossidge rolls, as they’re my favourite. Hope you get time to chill soon, much love and happy Xmas to you, Len and Dudley Xxx
ReplyDeleteA fabulous card Di and I would like a chance to win the prize please.
ReplyDeleteThank you for running the snippets playground and congratulations on your approaching nine year anniversary!
Take care, Kath x
Congratulations on your 9th anniversary, you do a great job running the playground on your own. Love the card and stamp set so yes please to the draw! And thank you for the gorgeous Christmas card xx
ReplyDeleteWow, that was quite a read but I'm all in! Thank you so much for having this awesome and very generous giveaway! You are wonderful to spread some joy during these very trying times! I think we all need a little joy right now! ***Yes, please*** for this prize! I don't have anything like this in my stash so I'd love it! I see lots of possibilities here, and your card is a beautiful sample! Love the little gold stars and bow you added! I'm excited to see what else you will be giving away and I'll definitely be back with a snippets card for your linky! Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat card Di - you must be knackered after writing that post!
ReplyDeleteLove Uniko so **Yes Pleeeaaasssee**!
Back with a card very soon. xx
Hello Di. I'm commenting right now cos I think the playground gates have been closing and I am still on the way after stopping to tie my shoelaces 20 times!! Yes please include me in the draw, cos this is a very pretty stamp, used beautifully by you on your card, and wreaths are always useful. Thanks you for all you do to keep the playground gates open. Thanks for all the wonderful pries you give and for all the newsy letters about happening with Dudley and all the other fun life events you share. I don't usually go in for personal anecdotes so much but it's always a delight to catch up on your happenings. Have a wonderful Christmas and stay safe and cuddly warm. Hugz
ReplyDeleteYes please, Di! You are so kind to be running the fab Christmas draw. Your card is beautiful and I have already made my snippety(gold paste-free card!) in anticipation. Sending you festive hugs, April xx
ReplyDeleteWow, nine whole years!!! It's a great milestone! Big Congrats!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your challenge, it's always a pleasure entering my snippets/scraps/bits&bobs/leftovers at all works here! :D
Dudley will be a fabulous Mr Random with his own paws! :D
Yes please for the beautiful Christmas wreath as I have no stamps as this in my stash. Your CAS cards look awesome and love the little golden star detail!
Sorry for the "only one entry" as in the holidays I think I will have eventually some snippets card to enter, but I understand very well your difficulty to comment lots and lots entries at this time of the year :) So, only one, I promise :)
I understand very well also the poor Dudley :D Better stay warm and comfy at home and perhaps have a little handmade treat, isn't it? ;)
Have a peaceful and healthy Christmas you all and thanks for this annual party!! :)
Hugs to you and cuddles to Dudley and Parsnip
Happy 9th anniversary Di, you do an amazing job keeping the playground going, and thank you so much for all the giveaways.
ReplyDeleteYes please for prize A and I'll get to work on my snippets card.
Hugs,
Katrina xx
Registering interest in the Christmas draw and have posted a card. As I already have something very similar I will pass on prize A if you don't mind but will look out for the future posts as and when they appear. Well done for handling this challenge so well for 9 years, congratulations. The regulars really appreciate your work on our behalf. The 'rules' are succinctly laid out in your post - must have taken ages to type!!
ReplyDeleteHi Di! Just said to my hubby yesterday that it sure felt good to be all caught up and have nothing to do for a couple days! lol But that will change come Tuesday as I'll be busy with cleaning the house & all the last minute stuff that always pops up. Your card is adorable. I have a thing for wreaths so it's a yes, please for the lovely prize. Love Uniko! Stay safe & be well. And a huge thanks for your generosity, as always. hugs, Becca
ReplyDeleteGosh you have a gorgeous card, I love the details you added Di. You also seem to have a great deal on your hands too. A great understandable post on rools etc.
ReplyDeleteKeep safe
Faith x
Bless you for doing this (I'm sure you said you weren't going to!). I cant' resist a wreath so Yes Please. Love making real ones and stamping them too. I have a snippets card which just needs finishing off and then I can add it in here. Your card looks so bright and fresh and I love those little nail heads. Hope all is well and you have a great week. We will make Christmas whatever we can and hope for better things next year. Thanks for the fun of the playground. xxx
ReplyDeleteLove this wreath set so count me in. Thanks also for your detailed explanation of the upcoming prize draws. I love that Dudley will pick instead of Mr Random! How fun. And yes... we know that you are fair and impartial... and sweet... and generous... and also talented. Just a few of the things we love about you, dear Di! Stay safe and have a wonderful Christmas and New Years. See you in 2021! Kathy A at myasperations
ReplyDeleteThis is a very pretty wreath and with some super added embellishments with the cones, berry branches and berries, and a great sentiment too Di, and I will be a 'yes please' for Prize A. Thank you once again for having this bumper prize draw, and congratulations on running this fun challenge for the last 9 years.
ReplyDeleteA lovely card Di. I do love wreath cards, but have never got round to making one. I would like to be a "Yes please" for this one. Thank you for all your hard work and generosity in the running of the challenge. Our little doggies have to go in the utility room sink too if they get too muddy. They put up with it but not too keen. Hope you have a lovely Christmas, albeit probably a quiet one xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card with this set! Congrats on 9 years! I will be entering a card for sure! I'm going to skip this prize though... I have a lot of wreath stamps :)
ReplyDeleteWow... nine years..... you deserve a medal for putting up with us all.... not to mention all the parties and such like behind the bike shed and up in the tree house! AND you're doing yet another of your amazing and very generous christmas giveaways.
ReplyDeleteI've already popped over (socially distancing of course) with my snippets card and I pinched one of those mince pies that Parsnip was trying to keep to himself!
I love your wreath card with the traditional colours and the MFT bow is a perfect finish.... but I'll say no thanks to this prize as I have similar (unused) stamps xx
I'm terribly winded after perusing your post today but I still have breath to say, "Yes Please"! You amaze me with all the thought that went into this post! I'll be entering a card at a later day but I wanted to start having fun today!! Happy 9th anniversary and thank you for your beautiful snippets today.
ReplyDeleteWow this looks like lots of work for you DI. Yes please count me in.
ReplyDeleteThis card is lovely Di, such a great stamp to do multiples. Looking forward to the extravaganza : )
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for adding snippets of this and that to the wreath, Di! I won't be seeking this prize because I already have that stamp set but I'll be checking the others as they come up. I should have my card posted in a day or two. :-D
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card - love the touch of gold with the bow and stars! Yes please to this pretty set and thanks for all your hard work. I hope to be back soon to check out what other goodies you have but just in case life gets in the way, warm wishes to you and Len and of course Dudley for a happy and peaceful Christmas season. Stay safe and well, Kate 💖
ReplyDeleteHappy 9th Anniversary! Yes please to the prize. I love the touch of gold you've added. I am thinking of how to use only snippets for this challenge this time around. I hope I come up with something in time! Thanks so much for hosting this wonderful challenge.
ReplyDeleteA really super CAS card Di, great shades of red and green and love the touch of the gold. Another mammoth post, don't know how you do it.
ReplyDeleteSo Dudley looks like a real mucky pup, what must Len look like, does he have to go in the utility sink?
Love
Kath xx
Hi Miss Di, firstly wishing you, Len, Dudley and Parsnip a wonderful Christmas and secondly I hope to find the time to play along this year, I managed to misplace a lot of my bits and pieces when the ceiling leaked and only last week came across my Clearly Besotted Reindeer stamp I won last Christmas from the Playground. I hope to find the time to get it inky... we are starting to look like we will be in lockdown over Christmas here in NSW too. Have a wonderful week... Megan
ReplyDeleteGreat card Di and a stamp you could use all year round. Brilliant! Hugs, Carol S.xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all the work you do to keep the challenge running and the great prize A...I would love to be in the draw. Have a wonderful holiday season!m
ReplyDeleteFAB make and prize so YES PLEASE to an entry in the draw.
ReplyDeleteNot surprised to hear about the lovely Dudders having to take so many dips in the sink, muddy paws and undercarriage!!! One of the penalties (far outweighed by the rewards) of pet ownership!!
Happy Monday and Merry Christmas to you and the rest of your readers Di
Kathyk
Oh goodness Di - I nearly didn't enter because you sound like you have so much on, but then I thought well you want people to enter lol! I would love to be in the draw for this darling stamp set.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for continuing with this challenge - I know I don't always enter but I do always read the posts and of course look for Dudley updates.
Merry Christmas and wishes for a brighter 2021

Absolutely love your card! I won't go in the draw for this one as I have lots of wreath stamps so won't take the chance away from someone else. Love this Christmassy challenge my friend! Take care and stay safe. Hugs xxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 9th anniversary and many thanks for the fun challenges. Your wreath card is so festive, the gold bow is the perfect finishing touch. Yes, please, for today's prize, I adore the script of these sentiments. Merry Christmas to your family.
ReplyDeleteWow, nine years and you still have your sanity Di! You should get a gold crown at the very least..and a nice big eggnog and your favorite slice of cake.We all appreciate the work that goes into the snippets challenge, and the fact that you manage to make a card to share for each one too. Thank you so much for being a snippets cheerleader!
ReplyDeleteYes please to this pretty wreath stamp. I love the way you added that pretty gold bow and the little star to make it even more fancy.
Give Dudley a big kiss and hug from me, and Merry Christmas to you and Len too.
Hello Di! Your card is lovely. I have several wreath stamps already so it’s a no from me for prize A.

Wow, that's a long post. The best way for me to learn more of the English language (LOL!). Di, you are like Santa: giving away so many prizes and I thank you so much for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteSo I want to join in today and I say Yes!
Lia xx
Hi Miss Di
ReplyDeleteNINE YEARS!!!! Where on earth have they disappeared to!
You know I am in total awe of the tremendous job you have done in taking over what in comparison was just a tiny little fun challenge to use up all those leftovers we hoard.
You have moved the challenge to a whole new level .. .. well done my friend! You deserve a medal!
Love and Christmas hugs to everyone
Jules xoxoxox
Linked up now Di! xx

Hi Di
ReplyDeleteLike others have said . . . you deserve a medal for putting up with us lot . . . especially the mischievous ones and their shenanigans. Well, someone's got to keep you on your toes!
I can't believe it's nearly 9 years since you took over from the lovely Jules. You have been a VERY generous challenge host and I take my (Santa) hat off to you!
Here . . . have a teensy weensy cocktail I made in your honour . . . it's called a Snippets Special . . . yes, that's right . . . ALL the alcohol left over from the Christmas Party bottles went into the mix . . . it's gonna blow your socks off! Wheeeeeeeeeee!
LOVE the card you're showing on this post. Great prize. Playing just for fun on this occasion . . . but might put my name in the hat for later prizes . . .
Love and hugs
Sarn xxx
I remembered to come back to enter my card. Yes please to the prize!
ReplyDeleteWell, I needed some inspiration to get into my craft room after being so busy for months. This is definitely a good reason to go use up some snippets.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet card -- I'm a yes as soon as I can make a post a good snippets card.
Enjoy the holidays.
Playing just for fun this time, thanks Di. I love wreaths and love the clean lines of your card this time. Merry Christmas Eve.
ReplyDeleteStunning card Di, and wow you’re busy with all these comments already.
ReplyDeleteA big yes please to the prize.
.... it’s Christmas morning here and I’m still in bed 😃 NBUS send you and all the playground warm summery Christmas greetings from Downunder, I’m sure dear Dudley would much rather a walk here than with you.. though he’d need to be thoroughly checked for ticks as its tick season here! I’ll be back as not terribly lots going on.
I’m at my sisters as I write this just listened to our morning church service for Christmas Day as knew I wouldn’t be up to it as usual. Hope and pray your Christmas is wonderfully God blessed dear Di and pray earnestly that our Heavenly Father watches over all our playground family and keep them all safe in the hollow of His hand at such a time as this.
Thanks for sharing, and God bless, Shaz in Oz.x

Count me in on your generosity, and I do believe you to be extremely generous! Your card is pretty, definitely shows off the cute set.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 9th anniversary Di.
ReplyDeleteYour card is amazing as always. Love the wreath. Yes for the prize please.
Hugs, Valerija
I say YES to the gorgeous Uniko stamp set. You can never have enough craft supplies, right? But, I must say I'm very grateful for what I do have. Thank you so much for the Top 3 shout out on the last challenge. That little snippets card was fun to make. I love using my snippets! I agree that the low number of entries is due to the busy pace of December. Hope you're having a great week!
ReplyDeleteKaren Letchworth
Yes for the prize, please. Love these stamps and card you made with. Happy Holidays.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your ninth anniversary of being Mistress of The Playground Gates Di! What a wonder you are, running an end of year prize draw again, with all that's been going on this year. I am a huge fan of Uniko and don't have this set so it's a yes from me for this one :) I love the wreath you have created with it, with all those extra pretty details. So pleased Dudley is ignoring your Christmas tree - they are clever aren't they! Vicky xx
ReplyDeleteOh Di, what a stunning creation - please put me in the drawer for the it!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays, Majda
Yes, count me in for the draw of this special stamp set!
ReplyDeleteLove how you added snippet of golden coloured bow and stars to the wreath for the festive look!
So happy I managed to join the party this time with my snippet card. Where would we have been without virtual parties this year to keep us sane and healthy?! You're a crazy lady for making such a fuss with all of those prizes, not to mention creating all of those cards. Your wreath card is lovely and it's a great idea to do some fussy cutting to get more mileage out of your supplies. I'll pass on this prize, since I already have several other wreath stamps and dies that are waiting to be used (more).
ReplyDeleteMarianne x
Hello and Happy New Year, Di, Len and Dudley! I just linked up my snippets card - Yay! Hoping for a brighter 2021 for all of us!
ReplyDeleteHi Di,
ReplyDeleteI hope you have had a good Christmas and I wish you all the best for the New Year. Let's hope it is a better one than 2020!
I would love to win one of your prizes but as you know I am in Australia now and the post is erratic! We have had a good Christmas with all our family being here on Christmas Day. We had had over two months totally free of Covid cases here in Victoria - but now we once again have a handful of new cases - come in from interstate - so the borders are closed and we are getting restrictions again.
Anyway Happy New Year and hope to join in more often again...
love Susan xx
Your card is so pretty, Di. I've been away from crafting (for health reasons) the last several weeks and thought I'd missed out on the Christmas giveaways, and I'm so glad to see I didn't. I will try to get a card made to link up asap! If I manage it, definitely yes please to this prize. Off I go to see what the other prizes on offer are! I hope you had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteI have posted my snippets card (and I used up a lot of snippets for it) so I am officially in! Di, thanks so much for keeping the Playground up and running. It must be a lot of work.
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to come into the playground for some fun. xx
ReplyDeleteyes please xx
ReplyDelete
