Less is More - Week #291 - Recipe

It's recipe week over at Less is More and the theme is 'Sticker, sticky label or peel-off'. The DT have made some wonderful cards and already there are some extremely clever entries as well. Who would have thought that using a peel-off as a mask could be so effective?!

I didn't have much time to play but did need to make some cards in a hurry, to enclose with last week's snippets prizes. So I turned to some stickers and a sentiment stamp and came up with six of these little cards:
I used:

- 3.75" x 3.75" square white card blank

- sentiment stamp that came with the All-Occasion 'That Folder' set and Memento 'London Fog' ink (softer than jet black) - stamped using the Misti, which of course made doing six cards the same a real breeze

- the triple flower 'Hydrangea' sticker is by Martha Stewart and even came with the little pearls on, so it was just a matter of popping it in place

As I said, very quick and easy and I feel I cheated!

  10. LOL yeah. it does feel like cheating using a ready made up embelly like one that already has pearls on. I think we're all so used to fiddling around assembling multiple die cuts into something complicated.

I do like the idea of a Misti. I've got an old Fiskars stamping press, but I'd not had much success with getting a decent stamp impression. You guys using your misti makes me think I should get it out and have another go!

    1. I still have my Fiskars Stamping Press here and found it was pretty good - until I got a Misti and realised just how great it was to be able to re-ink a stamps and have it stamp in the exact same place - either on the same card or when making a batch. Money well spent. Now and then places do have a good discount day - that's the day to buy!
