I used:
- white A5 card blank
- one of the Hunky Dory floral images. They measure about 4" x 6" and it would be a real shame to cut them down at all so they're best on either 5" x 7" or A5 card blanks
- a snippet of backing card, chosen to pick out some of the colour in the image
- layered the backing card and image and glued in place on the card front
- added the sentiment using the Misti and a sentiments stamp from the fabulous Phill Martin 'Scribbled Corner Sentiments 'Everyday', inked with a Memento 'Tuxedo Black' ink pad
That was it! Five cards produced in double quick time using a variety of the floral images, which I love. And I varied the colour of the sentiment on a couple of cards - although I do think that black makes a real statement.
Am delighted with the stamps, first spotted over at a blog I follow and then of course yours truly rushed off to buy. I really wish I could recall whose blog it was - thank you so much for the 'enabling'!
What I love about the stamps is that they add quite a professional finish to a very plain card, with no embellishment other than the image, perhaps on the thin edged frame I used - or even without would look good.
