Less is More Week #276 - At Sea

The current one layer challenge over at Less is More 'At Sea' had me pondering for a while as lots of my thoughts had already been channelled into some brilliant entries. Then I thought of a set of stamps here which always makes me smile - and as a result made this card:
I used:

- 5" x 5" square white card blank

- image and sentiment stamp from an Acid Drops & Whatnots set (magazine freebie a while ago), stamped using Memento 'Tuxedo Black' ink

- coloured the image using Faber Castell Polychromos pencil and Sansodor blending solution

- added two little drops of water underneath the sentiment and coloured them in - really just to link the water together more so the sentiment wasn't just like an add-on

- finally rounded off the top right hand corner using We R Memory Keepers corner chomper

    1. Crying with laughter here! I had a woollen cozy too, fink it woz shop bought though, and it used to hang round me knees when I got outta the water. Am sure I have a photo in an all bum somewhere - must have a look see. Even worse was the rubber hat with the strap under the chin! Snort :) xx

  25. A fantastic card Di. I think the Acid Drops stamps are really clever and the sentiments crack me up. Your girl has such a dear face.

I also had a woollen costume. It was green with seahorses on. I'm fair skinned and was red headed and can you believe what my mum rubbed on me when I was on the beach in the sun - No, not factor 50 - olive oil! Barbxx

  26. This image is great for a one layer card and love the sentiment too Di. I seem to recall a picture taken of me as a young child wearing one of those knitted numbers and how droopy it looked when wet ... yuk! x
