Snippets Playground update

Red Plastic Sports Whistle with Safety Breaker Cord

A HUGE thank you to Sarn  for all her help this past week! The good news is that I confiscated that damned her whistle - the bad news is that I'm feeling OK to take up the reins again from Sunday so your little Pal Sarn can go back to her mischief making and I'll be on the prowl for illicit hooch and such :)

The other news is that you all voted overwhelmingly for the Playground to be just one entry per person per week. Thank you all so much for your lovely comments and support. Yes, it means much less commenting and also levels out the playing field so that you are all in with an equal chance. Plus (and I never thought of this one) it does take away any pressure to feel that you ought to link up three makes to show support!

And one little extra of course is that, as said by a few of you, you'll be thinking a bit harder about which of your weekly makes uses snippets best so that you can bring it to 'show and tell' in the tree house :)

Seems like a win-win situation so we'll stick with one entry per person per week from now on. Don't panic if you accidentally add more than one entry - just let me know and I'll delete the latest one(s) for you.

See you on Sunday. Toot, toot - come back here with that whistle Parsnip!!

  8. So pleased that you are feeling better Di. One entry per person is a very sensible decision and I hope it lightens the load considerably for you.

  9. Looks like I missed the voting Di, spols about that, but go along with the census of opinion that it would make life much easier for you as I know from experience that weekly challenges are hard work.

All is clear in the Playhouse as I cleared everything out from under the benches, needed the sustenance to try and kick this flu (hence a no show for me this week).

So pleased you are on the mend but don't rush at it.

  10. So glad to hear that you are on the mend Di and I think that the single entry perfect, such a sensible plan for a weekly challenge. I agree I used to link up 3 as I wanted to show support for all your hard work, not thinking that it was actually adding to your work..Dumbo me!! Looking forward to seeing you back with the whistle on Sunday. Take it easy and again thanks so much for all you ongoing hard work, the playground is such a happy place to be ;0) Hugs xx

  16. So glad to hear you're feeling better and back on form.

Really pleased about the 1 entry rule as I think people were trying to fit in 3 cards per week to show support for the Playground. Also think it will encourage us to use more snippets on that one card xx

  21. Glad to hear you're feeling much better, Di. Sarn's done a great job while you've had a little break. Glad the decision has been made to limit the number of entries to one each week. Like others have said, I think several of us tried to enter three cards each week to show our support for one of our favourite challenge, even if we've been playing for fun. xx

  24. Good decision Di and hopefully people will use snippets too. It used to be great when the cards were actually bits of left over material. I haven't been entering much as I only enter when I am actually using a scrap of something - otherwise it feels like cheating big time. So glad you are feeling better and having just got back from holiday in Scotland I may be taking some shortbread and other famous (grouse) in Scotland things to the tree house. Annie xxxx

  25. You and Sarn: a great couple! I enjoy your posts and all the 'stories'! It's fine with me, that we can enter just 1 card and I will join as many times as possible!!

  26. Talk about being late to the party! I was going to suggest to you that it might be worth bringing in a one only rule as you've been struggling! Slope off to the hooch party to give myself a good talking to now Karen xx
