Cuttlebug Mania Challenge - 'Christmas Animals'

The current challenge over at Cuttlebug Mania is 'Christmas Animals' and it's our last challenge before the two week Christmas break. We'll run for two weeks (until 22nd December) and then will be back on 5th January with a new challenge.

You do have to use a manual die cutting/embossing machine (it doesn't need to be a Cuttlebug but it must be manual, not electronic). And, you can't mix the two, it must be all manual please. Then make your entry, link into the challenge, link to the challenge in your own blog post and and make sure that you also say what products you used for any die cutting/embossing.

And this is my card following the challenge theme:

I used:

- A4 300gsm white card, full length but cut to 5.75" width - just enough to accommodate the main Presscut die from the set called 'Step Card Cutting' and also go through the Cuttlebug with a smidgen to spare on either side (it needs two passes, one from either end, for a Cuttlebug)

- after folding the card I flattened it out again and added the red patterned scalloped edge rectangle and strips, die cut from a sheet of paper from the LOTV 'Classic Christmas' paper pad

- the image was stamped using Memento 'Tuxedo Black' ink and a Stampendous stamp called 'Special Delivery', coloured using Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and Sansodor blending fluid and then die cut using a Lil' Inkers 'Stitched Rectangle' die

- the sentiment is by Personal Impressions from their 'Many Greetings' set, stamped using Memento 'Tuxedo Black' ink, trimmed and then mounted onto a snippet of green card to pick up the green in the holly wreath

- added some 'Icicle' Stickles around the little deer's hooves as snow

- this time I also remembered to take a photo of the inside of the card showing the patterned liner which was cut from the slightly odd looking 'spare' die that sometimes flummoxes folk - with a plain white scalloped 'printed then die cut' sentiment panel on top 

This really is such a cute stamp, sent to me by the lovely Kay from New Mexico earlier this year and very typically American in design I should think. We certainly don't have such sweet looking postmen in the UK :)
