By the way, I realised late yesterday that I still have to scrape off a mid-wall wallpaper border before work begins - so let's see how that goes, but I might end up making this week's challenge run for two weeks. I hope not so am going to be up at the crack of sparrows scraping away!
Anyhow, this card is for all of you lovely peeps - and the current Less Is More challenge which is 'Mostly Words':
- 5" x 5" square white card blank
- more of the same white card which was stamped using a stamp from SU's 'Work of Art' set three times, using SU ink pads (Old Olive, Wild Wasabi and Certainly Celery)
- the sentiment is also made by SU, called 'Watercolour Thank You', stamped using SU's 'Mossy Meadow' ink pad
- then I just trimmed down the image and a snippet of SU's 'Mossy Meadow' before layering them onto the card - simples :)
Did anyone notice I went for almost my least favourite choice of colours for a change? Greens :)
The fabulous SU 'Work of Art' stamp set was a Birthday gift from a very special friend - I love it!

I like the green colors - they make one fantastic card! Good luck with removing that wall border! After removing a ceiling border from this room 20 years ago, I vowed I'd only use paint on my walls from that day forward! It took us the better part of a week and an extreme amount of softening solvents to get the job done! I think the border was coated with gorilla glue or something!! LOL

That paint smear stamp is really cool. I love how clean and simple you kept it. And you did a great job using your least favorite colors. Fabulous card.

ReplyDeleteThat is a great stamp set for this style of LIM card - very effective. Good luck with the wallpaper scraping. Please don't stress about the playground - I'm sure we all understand that sometimes life just gets in the way!!

Your least favourite colour is my favourite, Di! So this card is a real treat for me :)That 'work of art' stamp is brilliant - so useful for CAS cards. Hope the scraping proves to be a doddle and that the renovations/re-decoration goes swimmingly (not literally, of course!!!). Hugs, Elizabeth xx

Don't know how this snuck past me, reminds me of Avacadoe bathrooms, yes I did once have one. My favorite colour once upon a time was green and I am still partial to it, no you haven't offended me. I am just a tad embarrassed to admit it, just a tad that is.
