Just wondering if others have lost their entire Blogger Reading List? No matter how much I refresh, I can't see any blogs that I'm following :(
Have been searching online to see if it's a known fault - anyone else got the problem? Am still shown on peeps blogs as following them - it's just the list on my own dashboard that won't appear - keeps saying I don't follow any blogs.
Almost the same as the previous Blogger boo-boo. I bet someone is tinkering around with versions of the code - why won't they thoroughly test stuff before upgrading! Sigh.

ReplyDeleteThere's all kinds of problems with Blogger I think. My Reading list disappeared last week and now all of a sudden it's re-appeared. I left several questions on the Blogger help but never got any response of course. My scheduler was also down and my card would appear on my blog just fine - but would never show in the Reader - so no one else saw it.
Now, on certain blogs when I try to comment I get something back from "postmaster" saying it won't post there. Frustrating to say the least! Hope your Reader appears soon and know exactly what you're going through.

I get that problem intermitantly. I refresh over and over and close out and go back into blogger a half dozen times...and then suddenly they appear again...so frustrating!
ReplyDeleteMy triple stamping is a cheater way. You cut 3 sizes of blank card (according to a size sheet I have).
You then assemble them with some repositioning tape. You stamp firmly wherever you want the images. I am not so good at the firmly part! The stamp sort of skips the areas just before the layers. But that is OK cuz you now take it apart and mat and reassemble. The mats hide the part that did not stamp clearly cuz of the change in height.
When i make the next one, I will do a step by step photo diagram!

Yes, I have the same problem intermittently as well. When it first started happening to me months ago I left comments on Blogger Help but the answers were always nonsensical so I gave up. I find if I go back to the Blogger Dashboard a few minutes or even hours later, then sometimes it works, although it has gone for days where I couldn't view my list. It's very annoying! I guess a lot of us are having the same problem!

Me too, I keep pressing the refresh button sometimes it works sometimes not. Part of the trouble is that my computer is a lot slower than my patience level and I don't always allow enough time for it to catch up.I'm glad to know others are having the same trouble though, and it's not just me!!. (I'm not glad you are having trouble just that it's not all down to my impatience.)

ReplyDeleteDi, this what I was talking about on my comment on the snippets challenge. The entire reading list disappeared for two days, then just reappeared. I did some searches and found comments from people who had the same experiences -- most of them from a month or two ago. It must be another goblin in Google's system. I don't think there is anything you can do on your end to fix it.

Sorry I have no advice, but I can echo what others have said. It comes back when it feels like it, seemingly no rhyme or reason.
ReplyDeleteIt's not just you - the same thing has happened to me this week a couple of times. Also one day I just had the names of the blogs but no title underneath, when I logged on to them I got a whole window full of gobbledegook text. Eventually it returned to normal a bit later in the day though so fingers crossed for you. Irritating though!!
ReplyDeleteI have had this intermittent problem for 12 months,usually close and then re-open, sometimes it works, sometime not, sometimes works with refresh..... but it always comes back lol

I had the same problem earlier this summer and then suddenly it was fixed. Now this past week it's been happening again. I keep refeshing, closing out, re-opening, and refreshing again and again until the list appears! Eventually it does appear, but once in a while I have to close it out and wait a few hours. I guess someone always has to be toying around with things to "improve" them! LOL

ReplyDeleteIf refreshing doesn't help and closing down the entire thing either I try to go to one of my followers via one of my own blog posts and wwhen I come back sometimes I can get my reading list back. Usually I keep fussing around until I have it back.

Mine seems fine today. It occasionally disappears temporarily, but refreshing usually sorts it out. x
ReplyDeleteMe too, Di, and am I relieved to see that it isn't just me, it isn't my fault, it's Blogger acting up again. My reader list has been disappearing and then reappearing over the last few days, so annoying. I tried deleting my history, cache, all that sort of thing as suggested somewhere - what a waste of time!?!? Hope Blogger sorts the problem really soon and we can all get back to normal. ReplyDeleteSame here. It basically means that one (or more) of their servers is down. All blogs hosted on said server will experience problems. Imagine having information, such as which blogs you follow, being stored on a flashdrive, and said drive is unplugged. Suddenly your blog doesn't think it's following any others. As soon as the drive is plugged back in, the reading list returns. It's a giant pain in the backside, but it happens. x

ReplyDeleteI lost mine the other day for a full day and then the next day it was awol again and I just pressed loads of things and it finally came back, can't remember what I pressed as refreshing didn't work at all.

Happens intermittently to me to Di. Often the arrow near reading list is pointing up when my list disappears.I hit the arrow to point down and refresh and it often works. That may be what you do too. Hope it gets sorted soon, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteHave just seen this Di, and I also had a problem this morning. My reading list went off and does so quite frequently. It usually returns within a short time. The other thing earlier on was I could not visit Darnell, but I did try outside of blogger and it still wouldn't connect, so obviously not really just a blogger problem. x

I got so fed up with it happening that I now read them all on bloglovin. I imported them so it WS easy to do and I can still read on blogger if I want to.

ReplyDeleteI have had this for months now. I can generally get the list to reappear if I go into my dashboard as if I'm going to write a new post then close it down and go back into my dashboard and its back again.
