Summer at last?

The first salmon-pink poppy opened in the Playground, yesterday 1st June.
And there are well over 20 buds on the same plant waiting to follow suit - here's hoping it's a sign that Summer might truly be on the way!

I had a couple of back twinges yesterday, just after taking this photo, so kept away from the laptop, thus am behind with commenting on all your Playground entries - all being well I'll play catch up today though :) Oooooh, you've already been so busy too.

  1. Simply stunning. Love that shade of pink. Take care of that back, & hope to visit Parsnip this week. Hugs to you both, off to enjoy a few cards I've missed here.

  3. Don't you worry about popping over here...just take care of your back...My blog is now off limits for injured posters...only the healed may apply!!!

Seriously, there is not any one of us that would want you to be in pain again...We understand how hard it is to recover from back injuries.

    The poppy is gorgeous!

    Gently hugs

  4. What a beautiful poppy. I had one in my garden in England, and it was called "Mrs Perry"! I also had a single one the same colour called "Marcus Perry" - my grandson's name.
Take care of that back, and don't go lifting or bending! Kate x

  6. Wow, that flower is beautiful. I've never seen anything like it -- I think it must be too hot for poppies here.

  8. I have a deep red one in the garden but it is nowhere near ready to flower yet. Just a few stalks above ground. You mind yer back Miss. I walked ino the edge of a wooden table and now have a shiner the size of a golf ball on the front of my thigh. The Doc's fault of course. Hugs Mrs a

  17. I do love poppies but they don't last over here. I've been busy filling tubs and pots with annuals this week and Andrew has re-coated the deck so we hope to get everything put outside and looking pretty this weekend.

    Hugs
    Brenda
