Spring is sprung

Gosh we've had some lovely weather here! Lots of Spring flowers are blooming and I made a little batch of Easter cards:

I used:

- SU's 'Always Artichoke' card stock to make A6 sized cards

- pre-coloured images from LOTV's fabulous 'Wildflowers' Art Pad, die cut using a Nesties Labels Eight die

Yup, they were made in next to no time, but with love and the images really didn't need anything more than a good strong background colour for the cards plus 'Always Artichoke' is a huge favourite of mine.

There are some colours I do like to keep a decent stock of, 'Always Artichoke', 'Certainly Celery', 'Real Red', 'Wisteria Wonder' and 'Smoky Slate' in particular. They seem to go with so many images and patterned papers I have here. Snigger, I'd like tons of them all really :)

  12. Lovely cards Di, and you're right, they need absolutely nothing else at all. Back to the baking... I like they way they sell butter in America, instead of being a one pound slab, each box contains four individually wrapped 4oz pieces, each piece is known as a stick of butter. Useful really, cause you can leave most of it in the fridge and only take out a bit at a time. We plan on doing our yearly detox again, so it will be a quiet weekend with no Easter eggs or chocolate for us!! Oh, and the rest of the lemon buns went in a flash too, there's non left, lol!

    Hugs

  16. Lovely cards Di. Love the posies of wildflowers and they look great on the aubergine card. I think we may all have favourites when it comes to cardstock colours ... I know I always like to have teal, kraft and green in my stash. Hope you've had a good day. Hugs, Elizabeth xx

  17. Isn't it funny
    A rabbits a bunny
    Banana's have skins
    And bee's make honey.

I have hardly ever made an Easter card,
Just one for the past 2 years.
Between you and me, I am glad I don't live in America as they seem to make cards for everything.
These are lovely, I am looking forward to going to the LOTV 10th Birthday party in May.
Have a really lovely Easter, we are not doing anything special.

  18. Hello Di,

Certainly Celery is one of my favorites too. I haven't ordered anything from SU in ages.

The cards look great. I think you bought that die cut while in NM at Hobby Lobby? I know I bought one.

I hope you and Len have a wonderful Easter.

    Hugs,
    Kay
