We always give him a Christmas card with money in and I suddenly realised I only had 'girlie' Christmas cards left - but Len reminded me that Steve has a dog so this is what I made:
- white DL card blank
- red 'satin finish' mirri card
- a variety of stamps and some glitter to create the scene, sentiment and image - ha, I wish!! I actually used the front of one of last year's cards for speed, quick and easy and a bit of a cheat :)
This is for Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge where the theme is 'Whatever is urgent to make' and it's also for Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra where it's always 'Anything goes'.

ReplyDeletePostie are contracted out employees..often English is not their native language and it is hard to explain please do not fold my items. They are paid by item or by weight so they rush through their day to try to earn more.
When we still had postmen and women who were employees, they stayed a long time on the route and knew your preferences.

Well done on another quick make. Looks just the thing for the postie. I'm sure he'll appreciate it. I did the Post office rounds when I was a student and it was a hard slog, even for just a week or two before Christmas! Kate x

Hi Di. Great card .We have a great Postie named Mark. He stops every day at an elderly lady's nearby & has a cup of tea with her.

Gorgeous card and I'm sure he'll love it. We're lucky too and Rob will sign for anything for us if we're not in and it will go through the letter slot. He's normally quite early and will call on his way back if he has a parcel for us in case we're back. One of the great things about living in a small village x

ReplyDeleteOurs is called 'Little Dave' well Dave but when he walks past the kitchen window we can just barely see the top of his head if he has a cap on and if he has a parcel and I am in the kitchen he has a habit of banging on the window, frightening me to death as when I look round I can not see anyone.

ReplyDeleteI do wish your postie would give mine some lessons Di - hubster has even made another postbox on the wooden gate so he can get parcels through, yet he still crunches my magazines (complete with freebies) through the letterbox!
