And it's all Double Dutch to me too

This month's issue of Quick Cards Made Easy has a (new to me!) card fold technique in it, called Double Dutch, made from purely cutting and folding one single A4 piece of card:

And this is the inside with the top flap turned right back - with room to write names in :)

Here's a good little tutorial if you want to have a go, some cards do have a scalloped or curved flap/front to them, which might help them to stand up well when the 'waves' lock into the two bottom flaps.

The magazine tutorial had you making it all in one piece but the linked tutorial, which I only just found, shows the front flaps made separately and then stuck to the back and to be honest I think that would be much less tricky-woo so I'll try that next time. 

This one worked fine for me though, despite having to use the dreaded scalpel - which you wouldn't need to risk if you make it in two pieces, if you don't mind an added piece showing across the back of the card.

I used:

- SU 'Rich Razzleberry' card stock, plus snippets of SU's 'Lucky Limeade'

- Penny Black stickeroo from the 'Every Christmas' sheet, plus a few of the snowflakes and rows of stickers

- backing paper is from a Milton and Co. Christmas paper stack

- sentiment is by Personal Impressions from the 'Many Greetings' set, stamped using Brilliance 'Pearlescent Crimson' - which is more of a deep plum colour than crimson 

And, once it's made it's 6" x 4" when folded (mine was anyhow) so would fit perfectly into an A6 size envelope.

Dumbo here forgot that this card was for Winter Wonderland's 'Frosty the Snowman' challenge - am linking it now, watch this space to see if I end up on the 'naughty step' though :(
