Is yoga exercise?

Well, it certainly felt like it to me years ago when I used to go to lunchtime sessions, although the five minutes of total relaxation at the end with our lovely teacher softly talking us through picturing lying on a beach with the sea lapping was bliss.

This week's challenge over at Less Is More is 'Sport or exercise':
And, it's a one layer week as well.

I used:

- 4.75" x 4.75" square white card stock

- image and sentiment from My Favourite Things, the 'Serenity Now' set, coloured with Pro Markers

- Josy Rose nail heads

The jury is still out here as to whether, now it's been entered into LIM, I should line the card as it is, to cover the Pro Marker 'bleed' on the inside - or chop down one side, mount it onto a mat of either Sandstone or Turquoise card and then pop it onto a bigger white card - just to add more definition.

Sigh, decisions :(

I've forgotten who it was mentioned boxes for cards on their blog that we can buy here in the UK - apparently the company wouldn't ship overseas (to the USA I seem to recall). If it's any of you ladies (but I might just have spotted it on WOYWW) can you drop me an email, my email is di_wray@hotmail.com

  2. I know the dilemma well Di. It's a lovely card and probably should just be lined. Promarkers and OLC really don't go together. I've sent you an email re boxes. Carol x

  3. If it were me, I'd take the easy way out and just line the card. It's really cute with those nailhead accents! NJ on the challenge!
Thanks again for helping me today - you really made my day! :)

  4. Hi Di,

I really like the card just the way it is. When you mention the "bleed" is it the lining ink on the inside of the card? Could you just line all of the inside instead?

I should try yoga. I hear it's good for what ails me.

    Hugs,
    Kay

  5. You're a riot, Di! Were you kidding? The whole idea of yoga is so that you're, you know, like, zen, dude, like, be one with it, dude, like, man, it's one layer and that's, you know, like breathe, dude, that's what it wants to be.

Oh, wait, am I confusing this with me back in 1970?

In all seriousness, it's a yummy perfect card for LIM! I love that you used yoga for exercise. That's the whole reason I don't do yoga - it's exercise!!

  7. I hear tell that yoga is quite a good form of exercise - one of the reasons I don't touch it with a barge pole!!!

Fab card. As to the issue of bleeding ..... I would add an insert to camouflage the problem.

  10. I love this card Di with its gorgeous colours and would do what Kay suggested to hide the 'bleed'. They certainly say that yoga is exercise but it would take more than that to get me into shape! Vicky x

  12. MY husband does yoga every day and has buns of steel now, so yes, definitely exercise. I've been trying to get into it too but I have a long way to go. I'd line the inside, I like this just the way it is.

  14. Great card and I'd line it too. Yoga sounds like exercise to me, and not my kind of exercise at that :) I did source boxes a couple of years ago but I've forgotten the name of the supplier now. If it comes to me I'll let you know. Now, I'm away back to the only form of exercise I'm happy with - crafting :)) Hugs, Elizabeth xx

  15. Oh what a wonderful card....I'm at that age, where if I got on the floor, I'd be calling emergency personnel to get me up. I'm sure the neighbors would love the excitement! I'm into resistance training. I'm in training to resist chips! I'd line it. I know I struggle with the bleed too, and so far, I've lined everything.

  20. This is a delightful image, Di! I thought I was the only one that whacked the cards apart and mounted them after a challenge. Sometimes they just need a bit more or there's a boo boo hiding in the wings.

  21. Great image for exercise ... yoga's definitely that ... I think it's perfect the way it is like so many others, so I'd just line it! Anita in France :)
