But, two little beauties have been linked this week and I thought you might like to see how our Amanda has totally cracked paper piecing:
Aren't they absolutely fabulous? To find out more do hop over to Amanda's blog - I think she surely is our star turn this week.
Talking of star turns, auditions will be held this week ready for the Christmas Snippets play - any bids anyone?
Sorry this is short and sweet, trust me - if I don't get a wriggle on then we truly could be clambering over boxes in the lounge for the next few days :(
If you want to join in the Playground fun and frolics to keep using up those snippets/scraps - the Playground is open all of this coming week but it will close on Saturday 15th December at noon, UK time. I'll be on teachers training (again!!) but just a short course this time. Mr Linky is below as usual.

The only conditions to playing nicely in the Snippet Playground are that your card (or absolutely anything else you wish to bring here to show) must be made by using up snippets (card, paper, lace, wool and ribbon are all fine), and a link back to here in your own blog posting please. Oh, and no nipping or hair pulling of course :)

Managed to pick the lock and get in the gates. Erm might need a new lock now Miss. Probably a new gate too as had to resort to tying a rope onto me bumper and driving away at high speed!!
ReplyDeleteWell now I'm in its ever so quiet. The ducks are all asleep even the donkey is having a doze in his manger. Oops. We dun tell u about that did we! U didn't hear that from me. Hugs. Mrs A.

The fun never ends does it, Di! Like you said, a part of you keeps whispering bitchily, "You're just going to be ripping all this down in no time, you know that right?" I have found that a box of wine quiets that voice considerably!! Plus, it is funny to look around the next day and see that you hung the angel on the back of a chair and the lacy doily is on the tree top!
ReplyDeleteYou'll be proud of all the snippets I'm using for my little custom card order! And I do mean "little." You can scoff, considering the labor you've been expending this year!
Hugs, Darnell
What a great choice, for the showcase I love it.
ReplyDeleteNot teacher training again, you need to pull your socks up and get it right. lol.

Glad to see you found your way out of the boxes Di to get your card finished - it's gorgeous. Managed to get rid of a few snippets this weekend so I've put my party frock on in the hope I haven't missed the party! Carol x

Hi Di, Amanda's cards are lovely ... what I'd give to get into a dress like that again :) Like you, I seem to be up to my eyes in stuff just now ... I'm telling myself to be more organised next year but I think this has just been an extra busy time for me this year. Just checked and you did get out from under those boxes to complete the card - and it's gorgeous. I'm sure the little ladies in question will be absolutely delighted :) Hugs, Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteSomething not Christmassey. Wow!!
ReplyDeletexx
I'm jumping over boxes too....and wondering why I'm so late getting anything up....almost in time to take them down...oh well, I'll be better organized next year...sure I will! Love the two cards, I'll try to hop to their blogs tonight. I'm not seeing many takers to your Christmas pagent.... I think we should get a little choir together. A warning....My singing leaves a bit to be desired....Have a great week....I'm off to practice Jingle Bells.....
ReplyDeleteAnother from my ladies night outing!
ReplyDeleteBig sigh of relief here...the tree is up and decorated, the table centerpiece decorations are sorted..the poinsettia is still alive and tomorrow will find me baking shortbread all morning. Yay!
All that is left is throwing some lights and garland around my front door and maybe making a few more cards!
Darned it! I tried to link up but you have shut the flipping gates. Can you hear me rattling them?!!
