A robin in a huff?

Remember I used some of the fat and cute little robin stamps the other day? Well, this card has the addition of a third image which tickles me pink:
A bit like a girlfriend in the huff and so her fella is offering his piece of holly to the opposition :)

I used:

- 7
.25" x 2.75" white card stock

- red snowflakes and ribbon backing card from QVC at some point

- Woodware stamp set called 'Tweet Birds', coloured with Pro Markers

- plain red card from the snippets folder

- sentiment by Craftwork Cards

- a couple of red gems as 'holly berries'

The postman brought two lovely packets yesterday, from Annie and Jo - one contained some adorable mice and the other a lovely Christmas angel (named Diane!) - similar meece and scrapbox dollies can be found in Annie and Jo's shop here. So beautifully made with such attention to detail - I'm tickled even pinker than I was with the robin image :)) If you're looking for Christmas makes then you wouldn't be disappointed I promise!

I'll try and post a piccie of them here but am typing this at 2:30 am and daren't disturb my in-house critic....as it is I have to try to wriggle into bed under the duvet very carefully and silently, and he always stirs and growls :(

  7. teehee hee You and Sam have to come and visit me...I will haul you all about (DH is a very good driver) and show you hundreds of miles of BC!!! teehee Our summer place I write about a the lake is a 4 hour drive from home!!! We go all the time!
Seriously, we do the cities in England that I listed every trip ( I even left out one village from my list). We have family in each of those towns and they would be hurt if we chose one family over the other to visit.
We don't stay long in Sheffield...Just a day trip...we usually have a lovely lunch at DH's wonderful Auntie and Uncles and she invites her other children to come as well. Just a lovely day catching up.
We usually stay in Hemel for 3 days and 3 again in the Lake District. My family lives in those two places. From Hemel we try somewhere new each time for day trips...Stonehenge, London etc.
From the lakes, it is so close to Scotland, we can pop up for a weekend.
You are so lucky to have those vacation sell off places. We marvel when we go out to the shops at the travel specials. Dh's cousin and wife organize the Europe 3 or 5 day getaways...they come along and are great fun!
Filey and Scarbourough are where we spent the bulk of our time. That is DH's closest cousin and family. They have a series of rental properties (self catered accomodation) there. They are lovely to visit and she loves to organize things. Life is never dull in Filey. Every day we are off sighseeing some where new in the general driving area.
Oh, I'm getting excited about the trip just writing back to you!!!

  12. Well, sneaking into bed at 2.30a.m. not suprised, you get a groan and it looks very much like the lovely card to me, that he turns his back on you and you will have to find someone else to share your holly with.
Fabulous card, love the robin images and like the way you have used the size of the card long ways
Thanks for your comments and hope that you have managed to clean up all the glammour dust. I think you may be right and it has picked up the pink on the card stock.

12 hours to go till Jude arrives on the doorstep, 13 hours to go before we are wishing she was back in Oz.
    Kidding.

  14. Aw, this one made me chuckle big time. That kind of thing has happened at OUR house, so I could identify with Miss Lady Robin. What a fantastic stamp and you did a terrific job showcasing it. Somebody is gonna just love it to pieces! TFS
