I used:
- 6" x 6" square white card stock
- marine blue backing card from the snippets folder, am sure this is SU's
- mustardy yellow backing card by SU
- decoupaged and layered GorJuss Girl image - ha, the pile by her feet is meant to be fallen leaves, I think
- sentiment by Craftwork Cards, layered onto punched piece of marine blue card
- flowers punched and topped with white card candi
- ribbon from the ribbon box - this is luscious stuff, double sided thick satin with one side marine blue and the other brown (but an absolute devil to tie a bow with!)
The rest of the mustardy yellow backing card is to one side for now - I have an idea for the image that's already printed on it :)
Sigh, now having to resort to taking photos using the daylight lamp here, which means almost lying horizontally across the desk - still, it gives Len a laugh seeing my b*m waving in the air!

This is so pretty - your wee girl is gorgeous
ReplyDeleteI agree I love the gorjuss girls. Great card, can't wait to see what you come up tih for the rest of your paper
ReplyDeleteHi Di
ReplyDeleteA beautiful make and a great colour combo.
I too have trouble with images that have no mouths LOL!!!
Pleased it isn't just me.
Love Jules xx
Love the card but also love the picture you paint of you taking the photo....be careful now! :-)

Lovely card Di, l really like the Gorjuss images and had never noticed she didn't have a mouth. Very remiss of me!
ReplyDeleteYour colour combo is perfect, the yellow really highlights her colouring.
Hope your Friday is a good'un. Bottoms up!
Big hugs xxx

I know exactly what you mean about images without mouths, they freak me out too. But I too love the Gorjuss Girls as well. Fabulous card.

Beautiful card - I like that colour combination and I know what you mean about images without mouths too - however this Gorjuss Girl is cute.
ReplyDeleteI have a couple lengths of that ribbon in different colours and I find it difficult to tie and get the reverse to stay on the reverse, if you see what I mean. Mind you, I'm pretty useless at tying bows - it can take me as long to do that as to make the rest of the card :))
Hope things have eased off for you now and look forward to seeing what you make with the leftover mustard paper. Hugs, Elizabeth xx
Love the petrol blue, well that's what it looks like to me, and I don't know how you have managed to match ribbon and card so very well.
ReplyDeleteSuper card but I would still have had to draw a nose and a mouth.

She is a gourjuss cutie mouth or no mouth.Least she can't nick all the jam tarts unlike those goblins behind the potting shed!!! Whole tray they had. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteOooo! Is this one of the ones I "made" you buy?! She is gorjuss! My hairdresser has a thing about images of dolls without faces/mouths. She doesn't like my Catriona so I leave it out on purpose!! Hee Hee
ReplyDeleteCan't get the image of your bum waving in the air now! You will have to show me next Saturday!!
Only 8 more sleeps!! :-)
xx
