Pixies Crafty Snippets Challenge 38

Oh WOW, I can't begin to say how impressed I've been with the progress on the tree house and your self-sufficiency whilst I was away - and the antics have been such fun too :) And the choice of chikkin' coop is just perfect - thanks to Sarn for running the poll to choose the design :)

So, in recognition of the fact that I hear the swings have been wrecked by a runaway digger-dumper truck, driven by one who has a 'hooter horn' and directed by a few other scallywags but mentioning no names, this is being shipped from Taos over the coming weeks:
It's currently in 'Kit Carson's Park' in Taos, but he died a looooong time ago so my guess is he wouldn't miss it. I squealed in delight when I saw it - and Len walked away shaking his head in despair/disbelief after I explained how perfect it would be for the Playground and how I really desperately neeeeded to stand on tippy toes right there and then to take a photo over the fencing.

Of course I have to work out the logistics of shipping - DHL took one look and said 'Dun you worry about nuffin'' - which of course scared the pants off worries me a bit, I've heard that expression way too often lately from the playground 'workforce' :(

If you wanna join in the Playground and keep using up those snippets - the Playground is open all week and will close on Saturday 22nd September at noon, UK time. I'll be settled back home and hope to manage a roll call. I thank you most kindly for your patience :)

Mr Linky is below as usual.

Di - and a little 'I'm baaaaack' hug to you all.......whilst tottering round here feeling like 'a limp dishcloth with jet lag' - not a pretty sight.
x

The only conditions to playing nicely in the Snippet Playground are that your card (or anything else you wish to bring here to show) must be made by using up snippets (card, paper, lace and ribbon are all fine), and a link back to here in your own blog posting will mean that you'll be included in the Weekly Roll Call. Oh, and no nipping or hair pulling of course :)

  1. So good to have you back home safe and sound, Di! I've enjoyed your traveling posts and getting to "meet" Kay!

You're the best, thinking of us while you were away and of our need for new play equipment. High D. Hoe, it looks sooo fun!! Glad you didn't puncture your elbows on that fence!!

  2. Well, that's fine for the chooks...but what about us?? I still think we need a swimming pool complete with palm thatched bar from which we can sip exotic cocktails!!

  3. Well it is fabulous but I think a word of caution is called for, no good spending too much money if the Government doesn't back down on selling off some of the playing area's, this could be one that they have their beady eye's on.

    Big welcome home Di.

  4. Welcome home Di! Your 'letters from America' have been great but it's nice to have you back. Now, whilst that is a very impressive treehouse, I'm not sure you have to have it sent all the way from the US of A - we have one just as impressive here in Ayr so I'm guessing they are available in any good playground emporium over here. In the meantime, could you consider LLJ's suggestion - of course it would need a roof and to be heated, these old bones don't do outdoor pools any more :)) Look forward to seeing all the crafting goodies brought back, just when you're rested and back to GMT, of course. Hugs, Elizabeth xx

  5. Great to have you back, Di! We need to talk to the construction team and show them this tree house: http://www.alnwickgarden.com/explore/whats-here/the-treehouse
complete with potting shed bar on the top. You could probably fit a sauna in one of those too!

  11. Hi Di,

So glad you made it back home. AND, you've managed to do more posts than me! I'm so impressed!

I did make it to the zentangle class but Lee wasn't in it. The class she took was on Friday during the day (and unfortuantely I had to work). I'll be writing a post about it in the near future.

    Much love,
    Kay (miss you......)

  12. Woohoo!!! Can't wait for this to be shipped over. I will empty my pennies in my moneybox to help pay for the transportation if that will help. There was 37p in there last time I counted!!
As for Sandra saying non-alcoholic cocktails???!! Nah!! Sloe Comfortable Nails would be great, but we must all keep our clothes well and truly ON!!
    Hee Hee!

  16. Just needed a snippet big enough for a fat little spider, but thought of you when I punched it. The playground is looking good.

  17. Glad to see you home safe and sound Di, sure that jetlag will disappear soon.

Great swing set and bet as it's us girls putting to together, there won't be any of those spare screws left over as there usually is with the men folk!

    Big hugs xx

  18. I just did a boo boo, Di, and re-entered the last card again. Take it out if you can. I redid it and I think have the right one in there.

  19. Squeezing in at the last minute but finally produced a snippets card!

I might get one in for the ponygirl as well...trying to pack for a crop but she has a lovely little ballerina that she worked so hard to colour.
I guess I had better just get that post done for her and get it over here.
    See ya later.
