WOYWW - 151

Another Wednesday and another opportunity to go and see what Julia is up to on her work desk and then hop over to lots of other work spaces, all over the World, to see what everyone else is up to this week.

This was my desk when I ran away to do some baking yesterday afternoon, it's just the same this morning - although the cold cup of black coffee has at least gone - and it's pitch dark in here with rain hammering against the window:(
The last of the wedding invitations all ready for assembly to the back, little diamante hearts (I had to order more when numbers changed hence the delay) are all threaded onto aubergine ribbon - amazingly fiddly too:( At the front some House Mouse decoupage - mostly ready assembled too - so I can whip up a card today for Rudolph Day/week over at Sandra's here.

A pair of scissors to be 'de-stickied' almost out of shot - has anyone ever found any non-stick scissors that don't need a good clean now and then? And, also to the right, a little box of magnet pairs ready to pack and send off to some Snippets Playground friends who liked the magnetic bookmarks I showed on Sunday's new snippets challenge here.

Oh my gosh, this is my 501st post on here! That sort of snuck up on me.

    Still not finished that wedding stationery???? :-) We have been doing the order of services and table labels here this week ....nearly finished! Just god a wedding dress to get ready and 4 bridesmaids dresses to alter now! :-)

    Sigh, chucking it down in Wild, Windy Wiltshire too....
    But at least it means I can't do the gardening today, more time for WOYWW...hooray :)
    I fully admire anyone who takes on a mammoth task like the wedding stationery, you'll be glad when it's all over. Well done for doing it!!

    I'm with LLJ above in the admiration stakes AND the wild, windy weather! Sheesh!

    Your desk looks VERY tidy to me! My "non-stick" scissors also need a sticky clean up with WD40 occasionally too! LOVE that stuff! The thinking woman's de-gunker! LOL!

    I'm in Hampshire too - isn't it a ghastly day - just right for sitting indoors and crafting! Your desk looks so inviting - neat and everything in it's place, just ready to get to work!

    I think we have your rain to come later in the day, Di so when you have the sunshine just think of us up North getting the rain you have sent us!!!!!
    Bet you'll be glad to see the last of that wedding stationary, it sounds like a big job.
    I keep one pair of scissors just for sticky stuff, always cleaning them is too much like hard work.

    Argh...number changes! You have really reminded me why I don't do wedding stuff any more! I do like how you 'run away' to do other things...does it count if i just sit here and think about them?!!

    I love how you've organised stuff, so me! Not found scissors that don't need to be de- stuck at some point, I find a quick squirt with the Crafter's Companion stick away works a treat! Take care & enjoy WOYWW. Zo xx 77

    my biggest nightmare is someone asking me to do a mass production, I know I'll cop out and do one painting and get it printed, I have great admiration and respect for those of you out there that do it ALL by hand - wonderful a real labour of love, well done,

    A lovely organised desk Di. I love the mouse house design, it is very cute.

    Scissors? Yeah mine are 'gunked' up too and if its not them it's my fingers covered in crystal effects lol.

    The weather can only be described as 'disgusting' here! What's worse than rain, is rain with wind, yuck!!

    I have only done one lot of wedding stationary and that was enough! Though if anyone asked again I would no doubt say Yes!!
    Love that HM design. Gorgeous. I am with Sandra on the WD40. Keep a can in my room now. At least it doesn't get Hubby's greasy marks on it!!

    I haven't found any non stick sissors but I have found this stuff that gets the yuk off super fast and it is called citrus clean, it smells like oranges and it is amazing, no joke one wipe and yuk gone without any effort.

    Such a lot of work for the wedding stationary, a real labour of love. Great desk, nice to see some HM on show, but I know you have HM stamps that you don't like to colour so I'm going to challenge you to make a second card for Rudolph Day and actually stamp and colour a HM image!! Are you up for it, lol!!

    I was wondering if we would get a wedding stationary update today or not. All my stick-free scissors need to be cleaned from time to time. The non-stick pan needs spray. The non-tracking cat litter tracks... we get lied to a lot when you stop to think about it. I thought the magnetic bookmarks were fab and can see why folks wanted the magnets to try it out. I want to do the Rudolph challenge and get a jump start on things but you know how my life is. I'll get around to it about December 20th.

    My only tip about number changes in wedding invites is, use photo glue for the inserts, then you can pull them out and still use the card with a bit of fiddling about! Thank you for my snoop! Have a lovely crafty week! Happy WOYWW!
