Dragon Princess and thank you

This image was on my desk on WOYWW and now is a card for a young lady called Dilly, whose birthday is on St George's Day:
I used:

- 6" x 6" square white card stock

- Pink Gem Designs 'Dragon' stamp, coloured with Twinkling H2Os and raspberry pink stickles

- plain lemon card from snippets folder

- papers from the Tatty Teddy 'Spring Chic' collection, including the plain pink which is the reverse of a patterned one, well worth looking for when buying papers

- sentiment by Elzybells, stamped with 'Wild Orchid' pink and cut using a Nesties pennant die

- ribbons, cord and 'Princess' charm from stash

- Josy Rose nail heads

Thank you so very much, to everyone who left such lovely messages yesterday. I really had hesitated about putting anything at all about Mary and Ken on here - but I certainly learned that bloggers will not only laugh with you but also share and help to put 'some wind beneath your wings' in your sadness.

Wandering round the garden yesterday I glanced up at a large, but very reluctant, clematis and it's absolutely swathed in pink buds - tons more then ever before. Maybe it's getting ready to welcome the butterflies :)

I hope to have the snippets roll call ready for tomorrow as usual - normal service will continue as much as possible - and thank you again, my lovely friends!

  5. Lovely card, Di, Dilly (love her name) is going to be so pleased with that wee pink dragon. We've just been down to the garden centre and bought two new clematis, an Alpina that has blue flowers on it now and a Viticella that will have purple flowers through summer - I cannot have too many clematis in my garden. Perhaps you'll take a pic of the clematis when the buds have opened - I'd love to see it. Hugs, Elizabeth x

Bless your heart. I have found that bloggers are the BEST people in the world!!

  12. Hurray! Dilly LOVES it!!!! She wants me to make the charm into a necklace for her. I told her to choose a piece of ribbon from the ribbon box to put it on, and I haven't seen her since. I hear gleeful cooing noises now and then, but that's about it so far.

    THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
