Less is More - Punch/die cut challenge - Week 55

This week's Challenge over at Less is More has had us all scrabbling through punches and die cuts. A lot of people have gone for butterflies and in the end, after loads more thinking time than it took to actually make this card, I discarded other options and followed suit as I couldn't get this idea out of my head:
I used:

- 4.75" x 4.75" white square card stock

- X-Cut butterfly punch, which leaves the butterfly attached to the card so that the wings flick up

- sentiment by SU

- small piece of black 'leather look' paper from the snippets folder behind the butterfly aperture, and then the inside front of the card had white card matted onto it to hide the black paper :)

- little black pearls from stash

It took minutes to make and days to decide on! I think it would possibly be suitable as a sympathy card - the sentiment seems appropriate too, 'If nothing ever changed there would be no butterflies'.

  13. Oh my gawd! That card is so much like a very CAS card I came up with in my head once but didn't make (you know, cuz some bright shiny thing distracted me). I haven't even checked out the Less is More challenge, that you say has many more butterflies aflutter, but I just might have to now!!!

  15. Very pretty card, Di. I love the butterfly - I have the snowflake X-cut punch and never used it - will have to give it an airing now that I see what can be done. The sentiment is a really very nice too. Elizabeth x

  17. Great LIM card Di, glad you stuck with your first idea, that is the trouble with looking at the other entries, it tends to put you off your idea.
Really struggled with mine this week, no idea what to do, so many punches, so many dies.Finished it but can't be bothered to enter it till tomorrow now.
