Valentine's Day today and I did a quick little transformation of yesterday's Less Is More card to give to Len. Managed to do it yesterday morning then hide it before nipping out to sort out a friend's laptop as time was at a premium, but I think it worked 'cos I just gave it to Len and he likes it :)
All I did was to add the cutest little Penny Black stamped image called 'Hearts Away', colour with Pro Markers and add a little piece of 'not too girlie' ribbon from my stash.
Of course, the Pro Markers bled through but I just cut another piece of white card, a smidgen smaller than the front of the card and stuck that on the inside (a tip from Sarn ages ago).
And bless, while I was out, Len snuck out and a dozen long stemmed red roses were waiting for me when I got home. Aaaaw!
While I'm at it I'd like to add this into Penny Black's Saturday Challenge Week 188 which is (appropriately) 'Love and Kisses'.
I'll be back later with a Tuesday Tale if possible :)

ReplyDeleteBrilliant card - I love that little hedgehog. AND lucky you with the red roses - what a treasure Len is. x Jo
ReplyDeleteWhat a great addition to the card, I find that sometimes it can be done but other times it is more difficult to add to a LIM card but a great job and I love it.

I love your transformed card, Di, clever you. I struggled away yesterday trying to be inventive and gave up in the end and resorted to a lovey dovey hearts card. Still Hubby liked it, phew!!!
ReplyDeleteYou pair of old romantics, that's lovely. We are having a special tea and I've made a cake. I know the way to my Hubby's heart!!!
Loved your tale about the skip!!
Hugs Lisax
I think I prefer this card with the alterations, still very simple in style, but more interesting this way. You should set up a hose pipe above your skip and turn it on at intervals. That might deter the "lowlife". xx Maggie
ReplyDeleteGreat alterations Di, glad it was well received:0) Lucky you, lovely roses, what a lovely guy your hubby is :0) xxx
ReplyDeleteLOVE the transformation, so sweet! How lovely of Len!
