The usual cup of black coffee to kick-start the day. Cleaned rocker blocks and duster brushes, anti-static bag 'cos I've been embossing (a rare event for me but am getting more into it), white ink pad and embossing powder, box of bits, feathers, pearls and and papers. Plus a Marianne Creatables 'Rose' die. The 'rejects' are to the back right - in pink of course:) but I was amazed at how reasonably I managed after hearing other opinions. Mind you - the results do very a LOT in size 'cos I need to work on winding in a consistent way :( At least the glue gun wasn't brought out - I used Crafter's Pick Incredibly Tacky glue as recommended by Bev Rochester and it works a treat - so no burnt fingers!
It's Rudolph Day today (25th of the month and time to make a Christmas card) so, as soon as this mess is put away, out will come some Christmas stash (eek!) - in between hopping round to see what everyone else is up to on their desk, dining table, floor or wherever. There was such a hullaballu this year with the right wing republican christians raising hell over whether it was christmas or happy holiday was proper that I made it happy Snowman Day around here and refused to put up with any of the bull from the family. Hello Di, I've got the other rose die - the straight-edged one - and I've found the same, the results vary immensely. It's Burns Day here in Scotland ... haggis, bashed neeps and tatties on the menu tonight ... as well as Rudolph day. Look forward to seeing your card. Elizabeth x #47

I love the idea of Rudolf Day every month. Have you noticed how many of the challenges around at the moment are on a Christmas theme - could be others trying to get rid of Christmas stash. ReplyDeleteLots of lovely things on your desk today. I have the straight twiddly flower die and wind them round a cocktail stick, a bit fiddly but I've had good results with them. I use the tacky glue too, you have to hold them for a minute but it sticks good and strong.

So I'm guessing Rudolph Day is your motivation to make a Christmas card. That is a cool idea. I tuck my Christmas stash far away in the off season so I'm going to pretend it doesn't exist.

I cannot believe you have a PINK laptop - or maybe I shouldn't be sooo surprised!! Nice pile of stuff on your desk there. With both of us mentioning RD we should hopefully get some people joining in ey!! Can you believe I even had Rudolph socks on today? Fluke but they were at the top of the drawer and it was semi dark - I did not spot it until I was putting my boots on for work!! LOL!

I have the rose die, and I love it. I use big glue dots...although probably I would try the glue gun if i could find the damn thing!!!
