OK, so that's my update - and the result of the past week is that, even though I did try sitting at the desk for a short time on Friday, just couldn't make a new snippets card showing the prize I had lined up. So had to put that one on ice for now.
However, all is not lost as a snippets card posted on here very recently came to the rescue:
The actual post goes back to 6th February and can be found HERE for more details. There are so many ways in which this great die can be used - just do a search using Google for loads of ideas.
I suspect that some of you, like me, will have run off to buy this die straight away. I (naturally, snigger) bought three extra ones for the Playground Toy Box, intending to start stocking up on goodies for the Grand Draw this coming Christmas. But you know what? It would be good to have this die NOW to make your cards for Christmas 2019 ........... and also it saves my bacon this fortnight.
So, three of these lovely dies are on offer (huge apologies to those of you who did buy your own when you saw the original post - but I do hope you'll still play along just for fun, or even play and then give the prize to a friend if you win!).
As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday 2nd March. The gates will open again at midnight UK time on the same day.
It's a maximum of ONE entry and please say in a comment if you wish to play and be a possible winner of the prize. Please also link back to the Playground in your blog post to be eligible for the draw.
Remember, if you link into the Playground and don't say clearly that you're wanting to be in the draw in a comment on here, then you will be bypassed if your name comes out of Mr Linky. I'm sure you all know I ask for a positive 'yes' on the blog post itself- just in case you're playing only for fun - otherwise I ignore you on my little list.
Mr Linky is below - please let me know if you have any problems linking, it's easy for me to sort out so don't struggle on alone ☺
In the midst of all this we had Valentine's Day of course. I even had a card from Dudley:
Knowing Len he will have ordered it online, and both images could absolutely be Dudley - but he says 100% they aren't actually him Small one is so like Dudley when he was very young and the main one looks just as he is right now - when he needs a brush just after a good old romp and play session ☺.
Hoping that we'll soon be back to normal in the Playground. I'm still managing to get to you all and comment, even if it's a bit slower than usual.
Lots of love from 'Nurse' Parsnip, Dudley 'the Entertainer' - and of course me,
I'm so glad that you're starting to improve Di, even though you still can't put on shoes (shoes are over-rated anyway!). Well lucky you to have that beautiful die and card sample ready to step in when needed. Yes please to this prize...as it looks really gorgeous with the sparkly glitter paper behind it. I love that it's cut into the card base so doesn't require a lot of fiddly bits glued down.
ReplyDeleteHope to see you up and about soon, and back to your crafting!
Oh I am so sorry about that darn gout! Meant to email you & it never happened. Glad you're improving & hope soon you're good as new! Quite the scare first time hubby got it--naturally he was visiting clear across the country! He now seems well-controlled on the preventative med, thankfully. I'm so glad you didn't wait until Christmas as I'm one who loved the die when I saw your card, but didn't let myself get it! Yes, please, I'll play for the prize this time! Such an adorable card--good job, Len! Sending hugs, but not getting close to that foot--haha!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are on the mend Di, even if it is slow and steady. Hope to visit the playground soon with a make, see how I go. Cathy x
ReplyDeleteOh Di, I've been away without internet for a few days and come home to find you all laid up with gout! I hope it improves quickly, I know the agony of it. And I hope you've been able to work out whether you have any "trigger foods" so you know to stay clear of them. For me it's shellfish, for my brother it's orange juice - naturally, among our favourite foods! I've not had an attack in the 10 years since I cut my prawn intake down from 2-3 times a week to about once every 6 months - and boy, do I enjoy them when I do have them!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, enough medical tips from me, I hope Parsnip and Dudley are doing a great job of looking after you and that they look cute in their nurse's outfits. I'll be back soon with my make and would love to go into the hat when I do.
Yep Jane! It seems to be prawns for me too. We had them twice in the three days before it hit. X
ReplyDeleteI hope you will recover soon, so that walk with Dudley (and hubbie!) can take place. Oh boy, you will enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Lia xx
Not sure how I missed knowing that you have been laid up with the gouty foot again - so painful and such an inconvenience too. Please take it easy and I hope that it will soon go away so that you can get back to normal. Healing hugs!!
ReplyDeleteI've heard the pain is unbearable, good job nurse Parsnip is on hand, and your entertainer can take your mind off il a bit. Hope you are hopping and skipping round the playground real soon. It's a yes please from me, liked it when I saw it the first time.. Take care xxx
ReplyDeleteHope you are improving soon, Parsnip and Dudley will just have to give you lots of cuddles. I loved this card when you posted it earlier and would love to be in with a chance to own it, so its a yes please from me.
ReplyDeleteOuch, ouch, ouch! Hope you continue to recover with the aid of Nurse Parsnip while Dudley keeps you entertained.
ReplyDeleteLove that festive card. Great prize on offer.
Gentle hugs from Sarn xxx

ReplyDeleteThis is a very pretty die and I loved the card you made with it Di, and so generous of you to give away three of them, so I am a 'yes please' if I get my card in. I am so sorry to hear that the gout is still plaguing you big time, but hoping it will be better soon, and it does sound as though it is at least beginning to subside, and Dudley can keep you amused in the meantime. x
ReplyDeleteHi Miss Di, Nursie Parsnip, and cutie Dudley.
ReplyDeleteYes please if I'm lucky enough.
I'm not sure what you have done to your foot, but it sounds so painful.
The feet are so tender , and always seem more painful than other areas, but I'm sure nurse Parsnip is looking after you beautifully.
Not so sure if Dudley is going to be after your footwear though. LOL.
I do hope you are soon pain free and feeling A1 again.
That card Len gave you for Valentines is brill, and the dogs look just like cutie Dudley.
I did love that card design with that super die cut and all the glitz behind it when you showed the other week.
Lots of crafty love, and gentle hugs. Jenny L.
Glad to hear that you're doing a little better Di!
ReplyDeleteLove your snippets card...that die looks fab...so many possibilities...so I'm a 'yes please' for the prize draw.
Helen x
I'm so sorry you're dealing with another bout of gout - that's some nasty stuff and I'm sure the pain is agonizing when it strikes. Your poor toes!! Ouch! At least you have that fluffy little Dudley to distract you and keep you smiling in the midst of it all. Yes please to the draw this week, that's such a cute die and I love the sparkle that dresses it up perfectly! Take care!!
ReplyDeleteI hope your foot soon improves Di. I'd love a chance to win this die, please, it's on my wish list after seeing it in the playground!
ReplyDeleteKath x
So sorry for your gout and wish you a speedy recovery, Di!!
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely card with that wonderful die, and I surely would have it!! :D
I will manage to play as always, even if my free time in these months is very short :(
I was so impressed by the photos on the valentine card, he seems really Dudley!! :O :D
Oh poor you Di, how horrid...I understand that gout is sooo painful. I am glad you are over the worst of it. I love the card Len sent...how very Dudley. Yes please to this fab prize for the fortnight and I will be back tomorrow to link up to the party!! Take care, it's been a glorious day today. Hugs xxx
ReplyDeleteFirst... you are waaaayyy too young to suffer from Gout. And it does sound like it causes extreme suffering. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteAs for the prize, you are so generous to offer three chances to win one. Please put my name in the hat as a potential new home for one of them.
Me too...that is I am so sorry you are in pain. Sending cyber hugs, Di.
ReplyDeleteI, for one, went out and bought the die. It came yesterday, on a Saturday no less. Love your card and hope to CASE it soon. Get well soon. Hugs to Dudley and you too. When I get a card made, I will play for fun only.
Yes I was and yes I did, rush out and buy the tree but I had to as I am so slack at entering the Playground these day, I would not have had the nerve to say "yes please" to the prize.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant card from Dudley, I didn't get mine. I t must have got lost in the post.
Have a lovely week and hope that you get well PDQ.
Kath x
Aww Di I'm sorry to hear you're still laid up with your poor foot :( Hope you feel better soon x
ReplyDeleteBonus Brownie Points to Len/Dudley for such a fab card! I'll have to have words with Greg/Ruby to see what happened to mine Lol
Yes please to be in your draw, your card is gorgeous, love your sparkle!
Oh Di, I hope you will soon be fully recovered. It sounds like it's really painful. Well done to Len for the brilliant card. I'll be just playing for fun this time. As you know, after seeing your card when you last posted it, I couldn't resist adding one to my collection of dies. xx
ReplyDeleteHoping you are healing fast! I think my submission will have you dreaming of health and SPRING :)...I would love to be entered in the drawing for the prize and I LOVE Dudley's Vday card!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are still suffering Di, all hail those *Hotel slippers* giving you the opportunity to get back on your feet. I bet Dudley's card cheered you up no end.
ReplyDeleteDiane's card is a beautiful way to showcase that die, I love these little workhorses as they make light work of those mammoth Christmas card makes.
Wishing you a speedy recovery and take good care of yourself.
Creative Hugs Tracey x
Glad to hear the pain's easing Miss Di and Parsnip is doing such a good job of nursing you back to health, helped of course by Len and Dudley. I love your valentines card.
ReplyDeleteSuper snippets card and like so many of the other playmates I was very tempted by the super die but finally decided that I don't 'need' it so playing just for fun xx
I loved your card the first time I saw it and still do now. Please take it easy, sweetheart xoxo
ReplyDeleteWishing you a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteHope your foot is improving - card uploaded and a yes please for this super opportunity
ReplyDeleteLove the sparkly outcome and even though I first read "Have a _messy_ Christmas" I think the creation is beautiful in its simplicity.
ReplyDeleteYes please for the prize, I will pop back tomorrow with my card.
Hugs,
Eemeli
So sorry to read about the gout flare up - I hope by now it is settling down for you. Love this card so CAS.
ReplyDeleteOuch Di, I hope you begin to feel better and have some relief from the pain soon. I've finally managed to get a snippet of cardstock onto my card in the form of the 'Smile' sentiment so thought I'd pay you a visit, yay :) I'd like to play for the prize too if thats ok as I like the sparkly look of your card and the die is so pretty, take care x
ReplyDeleteI hope you're continuing to feel better.
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing that die and absolutely loving it, so yes please on the draw.

Sorry to read that you've been is so much pain Di, I hope that it's improving now. I love your card and the gorgeous die you've used. I normally play just for fun, but that die would make a lovely addition to my collection so will be playing along with everyone else this week.
ReplyDeleteSue xx
I hope you are doing better, Di!! Sounds awful!
ReplyDeleteI love your card using this awesome die. I can see why it's a favorite. I'd love to win one; thanks for the chance!!
Oh Dear! That sounds very nasty indeed! I hope you are on the mend now.
ReplyDeleteYes please for this fortnight's prize
Poor you, having the gout - do hope you're getting shoes on now and getting out for walks with Dudley.
ReplyDeleteI've linked up a card and would love to win that beautiful Christmas tree die!!
Thanks so much for keeping the playground going while you've been feeling so rotten.
Dear Di, I hope you are feeling better. Gout sounds like no fun. Sorry I have been absent from the playground and even worse, I missed Darnell's lovely link up for you!! Got hit by the gruesome flu at the end of January. I recommend avoiding that one if you can. Anyway, feeling much improved and Mr Mojo is even starting to perk up a bit. Please include me in the draw for that lovely die and I hope you are getting around again. I am sure Dudley misses you taking him for walkies. Take care. Hugz
ReplyDeleteHey Di, I hope you are starting to get and feel better.. Sounds like a horrible week... Big hugs... I dropped off a card inspired by reading.. Hope you like it..
ReplyDeleteThis really is a fabulous die! It would also make a fabulous shaker element!! Hope you are still continuing to feel better and I would love to be in the draw for the prize this time, thanks!
ReplyDeleteOuch with the foot still. Hoping you start to feel better soon. Yes please on the prize. Will get mine done asap.
ReplyDeleteThis me Miss, under entry 32. Just playing for fun . Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you have been down with the gout...glad it is some better. Prawns apparently are a common trigger food for gout? I don't eat them....too many legs!!! I eat 2 legs and 4 legs. Fish don't have enough and shrimp have too many. Now I am thinking it is just as well. lol... Incidentally, I used to enjoy prawns, but I tried a shrimp the other day at a Chinese restaurant and was NOT disappointed to find that they no longer appeal to me. You have given me additional ammunition. Sorry it is from your gout, though. Hope you get all the way back to abnormal soon!! Ha.
ReplyDeleteYour card is still just as lovely as when you posted it before. So glad you have it there for us to enjoy again. All that sparkle makes me so happy. Yes, please, to this lovely prize!!
Thank you for another snippets challenge. You are amazing to keep it going when you are under the weather. But that sweet smiling puppy valentine is enough to bring cheer to any ailing body. I can barely believe that is not actually Dudley! Take care!!

Sorry it's been such a long time since my last visit. Life if busy!! :) And sorry to here you've been injured. Need to read back to see what happened. Take care and hope you are able to get around comfortably soon! Playing along with a snippet card. xx
ReplyDeleteWell Di I'm hoping you're a lot more comfortable with your gouty foot as I realized I'd posted and not left a comment - getting old has it's draw backs meaning to do something and forgetting or just not getting back to it seems to happen more often for me. Your card is wonderful never mind that it's re-posted - that is one really nice die and looks magical with your sparkly background... I'd love to win one, I think it would be great to make quick cards.. super cute Valentines card featuring Dudley, get well quick Robyn
ReplyDeleteOh Di, I hate that your gout isn't a whole lot better. I know it takes time for it to heal and I hope you have medicine for it as well. Another friend's husband gets it in his hand. At least if it was in your hand, you could still walk! Please rest and get well!!! I am popping in to play for the beautiful die. Thanks my friend for all you do even from your bed!!! Big hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteOh, feeling so sorry that your foot is in pain, Hoping you recovered now!
ReplyDeleteYour card is so sparkly and beautiful Di!
Take care and fun play with your cute little Dudley!
Yes for this MFT pretty die!
Your card is gorgeous, but Dudley steals the show! I know it's not really Dudley, but the look-alikes are adorable! So sorry to read about your pain and I hope you're feeling better! That sounds miserable! I'll be a YES for the prize, thank you!
ReplyDeleteLove that glittery tree, Di! Yes please if my name comes up. Hope you feel better soon. I hate that you are hurting. :-(
ReplyDeleteYikes, your gout sounds truly awful! I hope it goes away soon. I guess you do everything you can from having it recur.... (diet, meds) Your card is gorgeous and Dudley is just so cute! That die is gorgeous, but I have a similar one, so give it to somebody, who has more "need" ;)
ReplyDeleteI loved this card so much the first time, I had to rush out and get my own! Love the Dudley card! I'm glad your goat attack is easing a bit and I hope the recovery continues as we speak! Big hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteGlad to read on today's post that your gout is starting to clear up - although not fast enough! You must be missing walks with Dudley.
ReplyDeleteI' think I've already said I'd like to play for the prize.
Jane
Hope that you are feeling better now!
ReplyDeleteLove that card - and would love that die, Di!
Ouch, I hope you are feeling better.

ReplyDeleteI entered in corner :D and say YES please for entering in the draw, just LOVE that cute and useful little die!
ReplyDeleteI really hope you are on the way up Di. It sounds as though you are well looked after though. I'm sure Dudley is keeping you entertained. This die looks fab on the glittery paper. I'm sure it could be used in lots of ways. Yes please to the prize. x If you don't get round to comment, that's ok. xx
ReplyDeleteOh dear Di .. .. so sorry to read your foot is giving you so much grief!! I hope that it is starting to improve now. My friend suffers with gout and at the end of last year couldn't wear anything but open toe sandles . .. she felt everyone was looking at her doing Christmas food shopping in them and was so embarrassed. Thankfully she is sorted now.
ReplyDeleteCan I say "yes please" to that lovely die! I am on a mission this year to get Christmas cards made good and early and this scrummy die looks a real pleasure to use!
Take care Di.
Love Jules xx
I'm just playing for fun - not very inspired use of snippets!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that you are unwell! Hope you are feeling better soon. I am playing only for fun this time around, as I don't make many Christmas cards.
ReplyDeleteI hope your foot is better now so you can make a nice walk with Dudley!
ReplyDeleteI am just playing for fun today!
Lia xx
Hello Di, shame we don't live closer to each other - we could have kept each other company in our misery! Hope, like me, you're recovering and will be 100% again soon. No need to include me in the draw. Hugs to you, Dudley and Parsnip. Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeletePlaying for the Die please this time Di ! It really is a super looking one and your card is wonderful.I do hope the gout is getting better now and you are soon able to run round in the playground again...in the meantime we will all get up to mischief cos you can't chase us! xx
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to hear you're felling better.
ReplyDeleteThe card I put for the challenge is FULL of snippets, the papers (lots of them) and even the little piece of ribbon.
I would love to win and thanks for the opportunity. Hugs, Brigitte
Hope you're feeling better now Di. YES please I'd like to be in the draw. Please notice the deer on the card which are one of your recent prizes! Thanks again, CarolG
ReplyDeleteDear Di, I am playing for the first time on your challenge. Thank you for your nice comment on my blog.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sonja
Saying prayers, Di, that you feel better very quickly. What a great Valentine from Dudley! Can you believe that I'm actually tossing my hat into the ring for the prize this time? I think that Christmas tree is fabulous and would so love to start using it for Christmas cards this year. Hugs to Dudley. :-D

ReplyDeleteDudley is super cute.

Dear Di, I'm playing just for fun. :-)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sonja
Thanks for popping on over Di and leaving your sweet comment. I'm just here to play and share so there is no need to add me to the prize draw but I do thank you for asking. It's just fun to take a peep at all the lovely entrants and have some free play time.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous weekend xx
So sorry to hear that you are unwell! Hope you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteYour card is gorgeous, Di. Because it's never too early to start making Christmas cards I also add a winter card in your gallery ;-) And yes for the gorgeous prize - I note that I have't enough English sentiments.
Hugs, Majda
What a gorgeous card Di. Love the dies you have used and glitter paper is fantastic. Yes for the prize please.
