Spring card

For this card I decided to use the same Happy Birthday die that I used on my Sunday Snippets card, to show you how well it works on either one of the two top corners. It's also a reminder that a corner Happy Birthday die exactly the same is on offer as part of this week's Snippets Playground prize:
I used:

- 4.25" x 5.5" white card blank

- piece of white card, embossed using SU's 'Square Lattice' embossing folder and trimmed to slightly smaller than the card front before being glued in place

- an image from a now discontinued LOTV 'Spring Flowers' Art Pad (pre-coloured, which is why they were so useful, sigh)

- a snippet of purple card to pick up the hyacinth colour, die cut using a Die-Versions Corner Concepts 'Happy Birthday' die

- trimmed the image panel and then added the die cut sentiment to the top right hand corner

- glued the whole panel in place on the card front

There's yellow in the flowers and also a little blue butterfly beside the vase!

  1. Wow Di, this is so different from the previous card. Certainly shows how versatile that di cut is. I love the LOTV image and how you have picked out the purple of the flower. I found some books by Hunydory Crafts when at the Newbury show. You get 144 pages in 24 images. They are more expesnive than the LOTV were but they were on sale from £9.99 down to £7.45 or 2 for £14 so guess who snapped two up. I reckon they make quite good substitutes. Lots of butterflies in the 2 I bought. Thankyou for fluttering by. hugs Mrs A.

  2. A lovely card - a great LOTV image (I'll have to look at the books mentioned by Mrs A) and the die cut is perfect too.

  13. Gorgeous card and love that topper and the die looks just as good which ever way round and fills a corner up nicely.
No change with the foot, I really must ring the Doc's tomorrow and if he will see me think I will have to go in my slippers as they are the only thing I can get into with no problems - M&S mules.
    Fed up.
