That's the current challenge over at Less is More #175 this week. I ditched two ideas, beaten to it by others who were quicker off the mark. In the end came up with this card instead:
I used:
- 4" x 4" square white card blank
- snippet of SU's 'So Saffron' card stock
- snippet of SU's ''Daffodil Delight' card stock for the back part and 'body' of the butterfly and a snippet of SU's 'So Saffron' for the lacy part of the butterfly - die cut using Memory Box 'Isabella' and 'Pippi' dies. I just attached the butterfly down the centre so that the wings flick up
- sentiment, which came with a pre-loved SU butterflies stamp set, was stamped with Memento 'Tuxedo Black' ink pad
- finishing touch, three little yellow self-adhesive 'opal effect' gems on the butterfly's body
My back problem is baaaaack, sigh, but am managing to keep up with the Playground so long as I don't sit for too long at the desk. Believe it or not, ironing seems to be good therapy 'cos you're not 'sat sitting' in the same position for long periods. No wise cracks about bringing your laundry to the Playground please!

Hi Di,

Beautiful, Beautiful, card.

Ahhh so the Isabella and Pippi go together then? Wahoo. I have the Isabella one and ordered the Pippi with vultures I had for Christmas. How cool is that?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card there Miss. I do love the colour flutterby you chose.
Now I do have a fair pile of therapy for you if you should wish to call by my house! There, I didn't offer to bring you my ironing now did I?
Hugs

Do vultures eat butterflies?
ReplyDeleteYour card is a delight Di. The yellow card is a perfect sunny shade for spring. I do love that sentiment done as the butterfliy trail too. Look after yer back and hope it eases off soon. Managing to keep my aches at bay. Only doing a little weeding for a few hours a day in the garden and remembering to keep the weed bucket in front of me and not to the side so that I dont have to twist each time to throw the weeds in!!
Thank you for fluttering in for a second vistit. Hugs Mrs A. (butterfly challenge).
Gorgeous card, sort of, if you get why I say that lol.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry that your back is back, I thought that you had conquered it, hope it doesn't last as long this time.
I must admit I feel a tad better now for not entering the Playground this week, my excuse can now be that I was thinking of your back.
Kath xxxx
Di, Your card is so lovely x
ReplyDeleteMust be the change in the weather Di, as mine kicked off big time this week too.
ReplyDeleteThe damp air seems to aggravate mine and I wish I lived nearer, I loathe ironing!
Forgot to say earlier when waffling about the clay the aroma of the MS clay reminds me of play dough from when I were a little kiddie!
Gorgeous card, fab sentiment and the gorgeous yellow die cut! It is all gorgeous fab and lush!! Karen xx
Super card Di, love the butterfly trail. We could make the perfect pair ... ironing is good for you and bad for me due to my frozen shoulder so if you are looking for more laundry to press you know where to come :) Seriously, I hope your pain eases soon and in the meantime take it easy on the computer. Hugs, Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeletePS: oven-baked Scotch eggs sound delicious.
My container full of ironing is enroute! lol

This is a late visit for me this week Di.
