Another simple card, made so easy due to the luck of finding a pretty good matching paper amongst my goodies to complement the Stickeroo.
I used:
- 6" x 6" square cream card stock
- Penny Black Stickeroo from the 'Romance of Flowers' sheet
- backing paper from an unmarked packet, shared with me by the lovely Dee. Edit, thanks to a lead from Victoria I found out that the paper pad is called 'Lost and Found 2 - Sunshine, by My Mind's Eye' - thank you Little Miss Marples :) The Stickeroo is layered onto a plain mustard piece from the pack, corners rounded and then added with thin sticky pads to the backing paper
- a straight double layer of mustard organza and beige grosgrain ribbon, with a little tie of both around
- Josy Rose nail heads in the oval design on the card - it just looked a bit empty as it was :)
I'm linking this into the new monthly Penny Black Saturday challenge which is 'Summertime' for July, just squeezed in with three hours to spare! I've peeked at the DT cards and entries and I think this qualifies, I do love the fact that the challenge is now monthly, although I'm late even given a full month. Talk about tail-end Charlie!

I think Sarn likes the card. Call me Sherlock. I think the paper is from My Mind's Eye (was there a stack called Sunshine??). Anyway, I agree it is the perfect match for this fabulous Stickeroo.
ReplyDeleteBang on Victoria - just seached via Google with your lead and it's Lost and Found 2 - Sunshine by My Mind's Eye. You clever little Miss Marples! Di xx
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. The flower reallly stand out as a feature. Seen some likely candidates score is nil par but I'm working on it!
ReplyDeleteHugs Mrs A.
What a stunner of a card there Miss! Beautiful. Can I have it please, if Sandra hasn't got her mitts on it first?!!
ReplyDeleteWow Di, This is a real stunner! just have to agree the papers are gorgeous as is the stickeroo and the presentation is just wonderful, love the ribbon it just adds that finishing touch perfect:) xx
ReplyDeleteI never made the weekly PB challenge deadline. I'm not sure a monthly one will do me any good either but one of these days I'm going to try. I still covet your PB stickeroos. I added some to my wish at Simon Says Stamps. When it is a bad day, things get bought off the wish list.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Di, the papers do match perfectly and you have used my all time favorite PB image, it is even great as a stickeroo.

Gorgeous card Di, the colours are very pretty and l always like card with print on.
ReplyDeleteBetter keep it under lock and key as Sarn may be on her way to acquire it :)
Have a lovely evening xx
This is just beautiful Di, you really shouldn't have told us it was just a sticker and a piece of DP!! It looks SOOOO much more than that!

Love this card, Di! I have a stash of PB stickeroos and find some of them to be a challenge when it comes to layers to go with them. Your paper is spot on and the card looks terrific!!
