I used:
- 7" x 5" white card stock
- silver holographic backing card from snippets folder
- white card from snippets folder with sentiment stamped in 'Crimson Copper' Brilliance ink using a Woodware stamp called 'Merry Christmas' designed by Francoise Read (love those swirls!)
- 'fir branch' was the end of a die shape, cut from a snippet using a Marianne Creatables die
- baubles made using snippets of Christmas paper, centering round Nesties dies over the snowflake pattern. The caps are made using a tiny scrap of really shiny silver mirri card (funny isn't it, when you want the shine to show in a photo it doesn't play ball!). I just punched a small scalloped square and then trimmed out the little caps. A silver line for the hanging thread and then a little gem was added to the centre of each bauble.
So, if you haven't done so already - why not join in the fun and make a card for Rudolph Day over at Sarn's (there's a little prize on offer too, plus you get to make an early Christmas card each month!).
And of course, there's the great Less Is More challenge which this card is for as well, called 'Don't Scrap It' this week. Chrissie and Mandi might have been peeking through our Snippets Playground fence girls - if you spot either of them, invite them in for a quick spin on the roundabout :)
For anyone worrying that I came home broke from The Range yesterday, relax. It was one of those days when you buy very little and wonder what all the fuss was about :)
Have a lovely day, it's Friday Feast tomorrow!

Wow Di, this is brilliant! Love the use of Christmas wrap and the way you did the little caps.
ReplyDeleteI think we’d all need high tech photography equipment to get our cards to look as they do in real life. I spend more time photographing some cards then I do making them.
Hugs
Bernie
