Here's the 20th prize in the 'Snippets Playground Celebration' prize draw:
I used:
- 5.75" x 5.75" square white card blank, side opening
-
5.5" x 5.5" piece of designer paper from Whimsy's 'Snow Flurry' paper pack, glued onto the card front using Collall All Purpose glue
- snippet of white card, die cut using Memory Box's 'Stitched Merry Christmas Square Frame' die set - I always keep snippets of white card in the box where the main sheets are, that way at least the shades of white are the same
- glued the large stitched frame onto the centre of the card front and added to die cut 'christmas' - both using glue pens
- to finish off, added a few very flat sparkly 'gems' inside the stitched sentiment
The die comes with the word 'christmas' attached by thin wire inside the frame. There was nothing to gain by snipping them apart, it was easier to cut the two parts in one go and there's hopefully less chance of me mislaying the 'christmas' die. Hollow laugh here - who am I kidding?
This die set is great fun to use and super fast - bonus! I made three Christmas cards using different sheets of paper from the 'Snow Flurry' pack.
The
prize is a Memory Box 'Stitched Merry Christmas Square Frame' die set.
All the rules can be found on the post for Sunday 12th December 2021,
along with Mr Linky for your single entry. I do suggest that you read
the rules thoroughly - particularly about the theme for this Grand Draw
Challenge.
Just leave a comment on this post you're currently looking at, if you would like the chance to win today's prize.
I hope you have a pleasant New Year's Eve - whatever you might have planned. I've never been a fan of New Year celebrations, but this year there will be a huge cheer going up from Len and I (and probably many more people). We'll be glad to see the back of 2021 for sure.
Love from Dudley and of course me.
Oh, goodness....the prizes just keep coming and coming like the snow flurries we have outside! We have a little over a foot of snow now and the power lines seem to be holding for now. Yay!!! Everything is gorgeous and just the way the end of the year should look.
ReplyDeleteWe have our community New Year's Eve party coming up tomorrow. Since many of us are old folks or families with little kids (or both!!!), the party only lasts until about 9 pm!! Hahahah... Then there is an old-fashioned sledding party at one of the farms on New Year's Day! Lots of snow for sledding this year. A couple of years ago the ground was bare and the party had to be cancelled...so sad. Of course it dumped on us a few days later!! lol...
A big YES PLEASE to this wonderful die set prize!! Your cards are just gorgeous. Love the different variation with those beautiful papers. I love clean and layered.
Thank you for all these lovely prize opportunities. Happy New Year to everyone!!

Fab cards, Di. It's always great to have a few supplies for making quick (and usually last-minute) cards. So yes please, to the prize.
ReplyDeleteWe are looking forward to a quiet evening at home.
We will be eating some 'oliebollen' (beignets with sultanas/raisins, also called Dutch doughnuts in English), which are typically eaten on New Year's Eve. I have never attempted to make them myself and have not really missed them since we moved to Crete, but the past few years we have been given some by a Dutch friend who enjoys making them for several of her Dutch friends in the area.
Enjoy your evening and let's have a toast to a better and kinder 2022!

ReplyDeleteWow, I love these cards, great design and colour choice.
ReplyDeleteYes for the prize, please.
Yes please to this handy die! It looks amazing on whatever background you choose. We had a quiet New years eve, or as quiet as you can have with 3 little kids in the house. Two of our friends had planned New Years get togethers but they were cancelled when the hosts got COVID! Since we were able to visit with my parents for a belated Christmas celebration on New Years Eve day, we didn't even miss the parties. Happy New Year to you, Len and Dudley Di.
