The other morning I was 'sat sitting' here, toying with some embellishments that came in the drawers of my lovely hexagonal desk carousel (yup, I succumbed!). One little packet of embellishments had lots of half pearls in different colours and I opened them and just started to push them round separating the colours and making shapes - and an idea was born!
I used:
- 5" x 5" square white card blank
- raspberry red half pearls which had to be stuck individually using Glossy Accents. For the heart outline I used the old trick of embossing a heart outline on the reverse of the front of the card, using just a ball ended tool. That was the guide - I started sticking from the bottom, up each side of the heart as I was sure the pearls wouldn't meet exactly in the centre at the top. And I was right, call it 'operator error', so I just added a further pearl to create an overlap and make it look 'arty farty deliberate'
- the sentiment was die cut from black card, three times and glued together in layers using Glossy Accents before being added to the card
Simples!
